It is the cold winds and frost of April that ruin them, except when they bud in the early part of February and are killed by a freeze in the lat¬ ter part of that month. Flow Boy. Lewis Ranch. Mr. Editor:— it seems that winter still pre¬ vailed, notwithstanding the peo¬ ple are still planting corn and gardens. The good book says there will be a time when we can¬ not discern summer from winter only by the falling of the leaves. There was prayer meeting ser¬ vices held at the residence of Mr. Willie Wilson on Sunday evening last. A large crowd were in al¬ ien denee. Mr. Editor, we are not given to flatter any one, but when we see a wise youth we like to give them credit for the grand display of their talents. Little Jobnie igwF; the oldest son of Mr. John Low; 3, has such a remarkable talent for music and with such a bright memory too. He cannot be ex¬ celled by any of his age and size and for such a short experience nas had in the art of music. It is quite consoling to hear him perform on an organ. There may bemthers who could excel! him, but none of the same age and practice that he has had. We don't see why the people c Crawford county cannot realize the great importance of a comity paper.
