Death.
Uncle Jimmie Sandefur, aged
seventy-eight years, departed this
life on Thursday the 4th inst. lie
had been a member, and a con¬
sistent and faithful one, of the
Methodist church for fifty-five
years. He did all in his power
for the furtherance of Christianity.*
He was a citizen without re¬
proach He was a kind and lov¬
ing husband; an indulgent, kind
and loving father. He was a true
friend to the needy; and, as a re¬
cipient of the earthly blessings
promised in divine writ to such
men as he was, he lived to a ripe,
old age and died a most triumph¬
ant death. He was a soldier of
the cross, and in consequence the
Heavenly reward and victory are
accorded him. M’-y the blow of
all near to him be tempered by
the sympathizing Master.
Amidst the tears and bereave¬
ments of this cold world He cares
for us ail.
