It was our pleasure to spend
Friday 00 ihe fruit farm of Mr.
W. P. Carr at Zenith, Ua. Mr.
Carr is a model orchard]st, aud se¬
cures the best possible prices for
iiis fruit lie anticipates the
needs of his farm and suppless the
needs at the proper tfme to ob¬
tain the best results. He showed
us liis returns aud report of sales.
The common price was* $2.50 a
crate and on thtf verr day he re¬
ceived a telegram stating the Inst
shipment arrived in Philadelphia,
and sold at $2.75 and a still later
shipment at $3.25.
These prices are not as good as
j HS t year as you can see by exam-
ining last year’s report which bo
has preserved and takes pleasure
showing anyone. These prices
are obtained at the price of plant¬
ing good stock, properly ami
scientifically tending the
crop till it is closed in the ice
car. No «hoddv work can help
to success in i> aclies. Mr. Carr
knows that and kepps right up
with his work. No lady is more
careful with her tenderest flower
plant than Mr. Carr with peach-
es.
