Crawford County Historical Society
Welcomes New President
Russell Jones receiving congratulations from Vera Cook.
During the May meeting of
the Crawford County
Historical Society, Russell
Jones was elected as the new
president following the 2011-
2012 leadership of Vera
Cook. Russell has been
involved in the county as the
current Committee Chairman
for the Boy Scouts and
Chairman of the Georgia
JugFest Hall of Fame
Research committee.
He retired from Robins Air
Force Base after 33 years of
service. Russell is married to
Nancy Jones and the father
of Eric and Mark Jones. His
great-great-great grandfather
was born and raised in
Crawford County. Russell is
shown in the photograph

Development Authority in the
Industrial Park for the 2013 season
All bids must be submitted by hand or
postmarked by June 25th. The contract
will be awarded on June 27th. The
winning bid must present proof of
Liability and Worker’s Comp before
the cutting begins.

up @ the Commissioner’s office.
