Ours and Yours
THE GEORGIA POST 4
A uneasy sense
of dread
One morning around
four, I woke up with
a sense of dread. I’ve
decreased the time I have
been watch
ing television
so it’s not
so much the
current news
bothering me.
It’s the
feeling that we
are becoming
accustomed
to our current
lifestyle.
I feel that the
people who were once
fighting the system, and
demanding that we con
gregate at churches, have
now submitted to what
we are told we must do
- while at the same time,
losing their grip on God.
Satan is not stupid. He
knows he can’t separate
us from God instantly.
It must come subtly. A
gradual change is what
he’s pushing for. And at 4
this morning I woke up in
a cold sweat realizing his
plan is working.
Fewer people are view
ing church services online
or listening to devotions.
Fewer people are looking
to God for the answers to
the problems before us.
People, we are giving in.
We are falling in Satan’s
trap and he is laughing all
the while.
It’s becoming more
about the economy than
our religious freedom. Sa
tan is distracting us with
stimulus checks arriving
in our mailboxes. Money
will do it every time.
He is pushing for
vaccines and tracking
devices. Believe it or not,
we are living in the end
times and we must
remain strong. Gods
Word tells us that
we must endure
these things and God
follows by telling us
that we must remain
strong to the end. It’s
not going to be easy.
But He will make it
possible.
These are perilous
times. And it’s going
to become more and
more difficult to remain
strong in our faith. But it
is essential. Get in God’s
Word. Talk to Him each
day and reject the adver
sary. Satan has lots of
workers running around
with ideas of how to keep
our nation strong. We
must reject them.
If it’s not God’s plan, it
is the wrong plan. Don’t
let Satan fool you. God
must be first. This may be
your warning! You may
not be warned again.
Let’s see how many
people read this post
and respond by sharing
it with their friends. We
must stay faithful and
determined. Let’s not let
Satan steal our hearts or
the hearts of our friends.
We must stand beside
God! Our eternity is
before us. Will you agree
with Satan or stand up
for God?

Letter to Editor: Double standard
Editor, The Georgia Post:
In case you missed it... Tara Reade’s sexual assault allega
tions against Joe Biden are reverberating throughout the Senate
campaign here in Georgia and in races around the country as
Democrats are exposed for their hypocrisy.
In Justice Kavanaugh’s case, Georgia Senate candidate Sarah
Riggs Amico thought the allegations were “deeply troubling,”
supporting him meant ignoring “good judgement,” and Kava-
naugh “should be impeached.” But in Joe Biden's case, an
investigation into Tara Reade’s troubling allegation is acceptable
in part because “Joe Biden does deserve due process.”
Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCo
nnell, haven’t been shy in calling out Democrats’ hypocrisy on
the subject, saying, “Well, at the very least it’s pretty obvious
that the same people who were outraged about allegations -
unproven allegations against Justice Kavanaugh when he was
in high school - seemed to have little or no interest, or certainly
not as much interest, in suggestions of improper behavior by an
adult who’s in the Senate.”
Bottom Line: Democrats’ hypocrisy must stop. Will Georgia
Democrats like Lucy McBath, Raphael Warnock, Sarah Riggs
Amico and her Democrat opponents continue to side with Joe
Biden in the face of credible sexual assault allegations? Will
Democrats fail to apply the same standard they used to cry out
against Justice Kavanaugh?

There’s really no such thing as
“New normal” has become a
catchphrase that I am tired of
hearing. I’ve personally always
thought normal just a setting on
a dryer.
Not everyone’s perception of
normal is the same and what’s
normal for one, might not be
normal for someone else. With
the exception of not being able
to go certain places because
they were shutdown and cook
ing more, my life has pretty
much been the same through
out the “plandemic”, we’re
going through.
There have been a few more
obstacles to overcome like
wading through PPP paperwork
and trying to figure out what to
do next, but there are always
cycles throughout life every now
and then. I don’t think many of
us will go back to the way things
used to be though. I know I
won’t take the little things like
hugs from people, for granted.
Sunday, I was able to get hugs
from a couple granddaughters
and daughter and son-in-law
though so my day was good.
One thing that I have really
noticed is how people jump to
conclusions and take sides be
fore they even know the facts of
a story. Whatever you feel about
the Arbery case, we need to hear
all the facts, not just snippets of
video, or heresay. There is al
ways more to stories than meets
the eye, but before we take up
a cause, we should know all of
the facts. I don’t really have an
opinion on the case, because,
first of all, I was not there, and
secondly, I do not know all of
the facts. It’s always tragic to
me when someone loses a life,
regardless of the circumstances.
I try not to have knee-jerk
responses on things but with all
the opinions and naysayers in
the world, it is sometimes hard.
There are so many different
opinions, even in the
medical community
about whether wear
ing a mask is good or
not and if you want
to, that’s up to you.
And if I don’t want to,
that’s should be up to
me and people should
just leave other people
alone about their
preference.
It has really gotten out
of hand when people
want to shame other
people and even report
them when they are
doing something such as not
wearing a mask or that they
don’t agree with personally.
Geeze! When did people start
appointing themselves as the
Gestapo? Can’t we just leave
people alone and tend to our
own selves instead of getting in
everyone’s business? To me this
is an adult version of tattletal-
ing! Get over yourself and mind
your own business.
It’s time everyone got back to
work and I’ve read that some
people don’t want to go back
because they make more on un
employment. How sad is that?
So more and more people will
be dependent on government
handouts. Let’s just kill the good
old-fashioned hard work ethic,
why don’t we.
What people don’t seem to
realize is that sooner or later the
piper must be paid. That comes
from those people who work
hard every day and are contrib
uting. I don’t think someone
else should foot the bill for me
when I am able bodies and able
to work for myself. And I don’t
ever want to have a mentality
of expecting the government to
take care of me. That is social
ism and it does not work
for the good of everyone.
I do not like zoom meet
ings. They are frustrating
and some people go in
and out if they are on
their phones. I recently
attended one as a report
er, and my name was not
shown, just my phone
type. I did not have my
microphone on because
I was just an observer,
not a contributor. The
people meeting wanted to
kick me off because they
did not know who I was
and because I did not have my
microphone on! Really! People
were invited to this meeting
and given log-in information
so if someone didn’t receive
an invitation, they wouldn’t
be logging in, I don’t think.
Anyway to keep from being
thrown out of a virtual meeting,
I turned my microphone off and
had to announce myself. This is
ridiculous.
I’m glad to learn that the
recreation department will be
holding ball practice and having
a season. Since it’s been prov
en that sunlight kills viruses,
what better way to enjoy being
outside. Thank goodness there
are some people with common
sense and who are ready to get
on with life. Living in fear is not
living at all and if you stay con
fined until it’s safe, you won’t
ever go out because it never
really it completely safe.
What’s worse than any virus
to me if watching our rights
being trampled on every day.
Government was never created
to shut down due to a pandem-
Day At
ATime
Victoria
Simmons
‘normal’
ic. Doesn’t make any sense to
destroy an economy by shutting
down from a virus that has
more than a 98% survival rate.
I believe, we will find out even
more down the road, how much
of a “plandemic” this was.
Hats off to those officials and
citizens who refused to give in
to the fear mongering and car
ried on pretty much the same as
always.
I’m apalled at the abuse of
power by people in government
that is coming out every day.
I’m tired of hearing they will
be arrested. Let’s get it done
already and move forward.
Doesn’t matter which side of the
politican platform they are on,
if they committed crimes, then
arrest and prosecute.
To clear up a misconception:
no you do not have to vote
by absentee ballots. A mail in
request for absentee ballot was
sent to every voter in Georgia
supposedly, but that doesn’t
mean you have to make that re
quest or that you have to use it.
If you did request one, you can
still vote in person, just take the
absentee ballot with you when
you vote. There has been case
after case of ballot harvesting
with mail-in voting and I refuse
to contribute to that possibility
in any way. Go to the polls and
vote.
You need an ID for many
things and voting should be
one of those required things for
IDs. It’s the safest way to ensure
your vote counts and that it was
cast by the right person.

Power snacks for the immune system
Germs, bacteria, viruses and each other
When things get back to nor
mal, I will go eat at places where
I can leave with more than just
food. My immune system needs
snacks too. This might sound a
little gross but kept in a con
stant sterile environment, our
immune system will become
very fragile and I’m a firm
believer in the value of regular
immune system exposure to
keep it strong.
We might get by a little while
with isolating our immune sys
tem from our world of contam
inants, but if we do this for too
long, it will shrink in its capa
bilities to protect us from die
same. Life is filled with germs,
bacterias, fungi and viruses
and our body was designed to
interact as a part of this.
I worry this isolation from the
normal integration with our
surroundings is setting us and
our children up as a tinderbox
that will have us behind the
curve in our immune system
not being beefed up for this fall
when our children go back to
school. Hopefully they can go
without being dressed in space
suits because parents are
freaked out trying to pro
tect their children from
poor lil snotty Scotty.
My other concern is
how much the pharma
ceutical industry wants
to own our immune
system and wants us to
think their vaccinations
will be how we get back
to normal. First off they
don’t own your immune
system and its healing
process in your body- you
do! Vaccines can have
their benefits, but we should not
become reliant on them for life
to go on every time a new virus
takes shape or mutates. Our
body was designed from the
beginning to sequence and kill
harmful invaders.
Our immune system is so
powerful that it can kill us (such
as with anaphylactic shock).
When something harmful
enters our body (viruses, bac
terial and other invaders) our
immune system will carefully
start building anti
bodies (anti-body
flags) that are se
quenced for an exact
fit for attaching to the
invader. Example:
once an antibody is
attached to the spike
of the coronavirus it
becomes marked for
death by the immune
system’s destruction
chemicals. So anti
bodies are really in its
most simple definition,
a flagging system to
mark bad stuff for death by the
immune system. The difference
in letting the body do it, is it
builds antibodies designed as a
perfect match versus a shot
gun approach that a lot of the
pharmaceutical antibodies use
(where it kills good and bad
stuff in us).
The pharmaceutical industry
can develop vaccinations that
they believe we will encounter
in the future and make our our
body start building antibodies
in advance but even this still
uses our immune system to kill
the bad stuff. Vaccinations and
then the proceeding antibodies
produced, are simply a way to
kickstart our innate immune
system in advance of exposure.
The 6 feet of separation rule
may be necessary for mitigation
of COVID-19 but it is horrible
in the overall weakening of our
immune systems. We need open
interaction with each other,
our world, its germs, viruses,
bacterias and the many other
things that give our immune
system the power snacks and
tools it needs TO STAY WOKE
and constantly in tune with our
surroundings!!!

Managing diabetes in 5 simple steps
BY: DR. SEEMA CSUKAS,
CareSource Medical Director
Georgia Market
According to Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC), more than 34 million
people have diabetes in the
United States, and 88 million
adults 18 years or older have
prediabetes. While we can’t con
trol everything that impacts our
health, we can control diabetes
with a few simple steps. Dr.
Seema Csukas, Medical Director
of the Georgia Market at Care-
Source, a nonprofit health plan,
has a few important measures to
Monitor your AlC, Blood
Pressure and Cholester
ol Levels: AlC, blood pres
sure and cholesterol identify,
diagnose and control diabetes,
so it’s essential to discuss your
long-term goals with your health
care team to determine the ap
propriate levels for each. These
numbers vary for each individ
ual, and there is no one-size-
fits-all target to reach. Checking
your blood sugar at least once a
day helps your doctor construct
the proper treatment plan to
monitor your diabetes.
Create and Sustain a
Healthy Lifestyle: The U.S.
Department of Health and
Human Services maintains that
over 80% of adults and ado
lescents do not get the recom
mended amount of physical
activity. Developing a healthy
eating plan and establishing an
exercise routine creates healthy
habits. Nutritious foods and
physical activity should be top-
of-mind for those developing
or battling diabetes. Switching
from soda to water, incorpo
rating leaner protein in your
diet and moving for at least 30
minutes a day are great ways
manage the disease.
Develop Stress-Relieving
Mechanisms: Chronic stress
is a national epidemic for all
genders and ages. Unfortunate
ly, it has a direct effect on blood
sugar, but developing coping
mechanisms helps to relieve
those levels. Try breathing
exercises, yoga, physical activity
or cooking. It’s also important
to take notes on when you’re
feeling increased stress in order
to limit those instances in the
future.
