Thomas Jefferson
THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 2020
When I was a child, I
spent many days with
my grandparents. They
had a crabapple tree on
the corner of their front
lawn. When the
reaping season
arrived, hundreds
of crabapples
would weigh
down the limbs.
My grandfather
would pick them
as fast as he
could.
I didn’t like
them at all. They
were way too bit
ter for me. There
were always brown cra
bapples on the ground
under the tree. They
produced faster than we
could pick them. Why
he wanted them in the
first place I don’t know.
I would probably cut the
tree down if it was in my
front yard today. They
make such a big mess.
So you are wondering
what made me think of
Pa’s crabapples?
All the looting and
thievery going on across
our nation. People would
rather steal things than
ask for them.
Many people would
sneak up with
buckets in their hands
and steal Pa’s crabap
ples. As far as we were
concerned they could
have had them, without
stealing them, if they had
only asked. But I suppose
taking something that
doesn’t belong to you is
just too enticing.
How would you like to
spend eternity in hell for
stealing crabapples? If I
was going to sacrifice my
eternity I think it would
be for something less
bitter than a crabapple;
but I don’t want anything
that doesn’t belong to
me.
How about you?
I don’t remember how
old I was but the stealing
of crabapples introduced
me to thievery. And as
you have de
duced, it had an
impact on me.
I worry about
our children and
grandchildren
today as they
witness fires and
; broken windows.
I still remem
ber witnessing
the sneakiness
and the sound of
the crabapples
as they hit the bottom
of their buckets. Pa and
I would sit on the front
porch and watch as the
thieves stole crabapples
that we would have glad
ly shared.
I thought of Jesus
this morning too. I have
found when I need some
thing, all I have to do
is to ask Him for it. He
provides if I truly need it.
I can count on Him.
But if He saw me grab
a bucket, sneak to some
one else’s tree, He would
be so disappointed in me
that He would proba
bly withhold my many
blessings.
In hades, I’m afraid
crabapples will be on
every tree and become
staple meals for those
who stole them off Pa’s
tree.
Payback time is theirs,
I’m sure, for them and for
every rioter and looter we
have seen these last few
days on television.
Somehow I don’t think
one single item will have
been worth the price they
will pay.

What’s happening is evil vs.
Evil has no boundaries - color
of skin, gender, social status,
bank account — doesn’t matter.
What we are seeing transpire
in today’s world is not as some
would have you to believe, a ra
cial war, it is the battle between
good and evil. Does racism
exist? Of course but even at the
bottom of it, is evil.
There are powers to be that
want us divided because united
we are stronger and they are
scared of that scenario. But
satan wants us divided as well,
pitted against each other so that
his plan comes together.
Of course, those who follow
Christ and know Him as Lord
and Savior, have read the back
of the book and know that God
wins. However, satan does not.
Because of his prideful nature
and his desire to be god of all, he
still thinks he can overcome and
conquer. This is, I understand, a
hard concept to wrap your head
around.
Each of us are who God made
us to be in our skin, whatever
the color. He knew us before we
were even bom and called us by
name. He knew the hardships
we would encounter, the trials
and what we would have to
overcome. So, I will not apolo
gize for the person God created.
Neither should anyone else.
Personally, I don’t believe
unless you have walked in some
one else’s shoes, you can’t really
know what they’ve endured.
That has nothing to do with skin
color.
I certainly am not privileged in
the fact that nothing was given
to me. I had to work for it. I
worked three jobs to put myself
through college at the cost of my
physical health. I did it because
that was a goal and I kept push
ing toward it and I did get there,
thank the good Lord.
Even though there was a time I
could have used the help, never
once did I expect the govern
ment to bail me out or did I ask
for any kind of hand out. Yes,
there are times to ask, but not
until you’ve exhausted every
other possible avenue.
We are all humans;
thus we bleed the
same, we are bom
the same way and
not a single one of us
will leave this world
alive unless it is in the
Rapture. Nothing will
ever change until we
actually consider ev
eryone a human being
and not by skin color.
We can let the main
stream media and
certain other factions
behind the scenes
divide and destroy us or we can
stand together.
I grieve for the Floyd fami
ly, along with the rest of the
country and I believe it inhu
mane how he was treated by
the officer. Every life matters to
God and it matters to me. God
certainly doesn’t see color.
Every day there are thousands
of innocent people killed. The
mainstream media only focuses
on those cases that will get the
most reaction from the public.
Prior to Floyd, two kids were
killed in Minnesota. They had
lots of life left to live. No outrage
from the media.
I can get into a peaceful pro
test, but rioting and looting is
not a protest. Destroying busi
nesses is not about justice for
Floyd or being angry about what
took place. Even his family has
come out against rioting. Floyd
himself has been called a ‘Gentle
Giant’ who would not approve of
rioting and looting.
Who in their right mind would
bring along their children to
protests? People think it’s okay
to put their children in harm’s
way? I don’t get it at all.
Extremist are using this as an
excuse to further an agenda of
discord in our country. Some
are buying into it hook, line and
sinker. The current narrative
was not working so now other
tactics are being deployed.
If you don’t think any of
these were planned, then
give me an answer as to
how most of them are
from out of state and they
all had the same color
t-shirts and masks with
the same slogan? Why
were bricks and rocks
on pallets strategically
placed around the cities
were the riots are taking
place? That in itself is
suspicious to me.
I was appalled that there
are websites where you
can sign up to be a paid
protester? Really? There are
even testimonials on these sites
from people saying they make
thousands of dollars a week
protesting.
Stop watching the mainstream
media. Turn the TV off and go
out into your community. We
are not as divided as they want
you to believe. The mainstream
media is only showing you what
they want you to see. There are
many, many good stories to be
told about people of all colors
banning together to not only
clean up the mess left behind,
but protecting officers and busi
ness owners from the rioters.
But mainstream media only
shows what benefits the narra
tive they want portrayed.
There are bad and good cops
throughout the world and we
can’t lump all of them together
just because of the bad ones.
During this chaos good cops
have come out stating how they
dislike the bad cops as much
or more than anyone. Many of
them chose law enforcement
because they had a desire to
protect and serve. The bad ones
tarnish the badge of the good
ones. We have to not let emo
tions rule us when addressing
issues. Right is right and wrong
is wrong and we should not

good
excuse the wrong because some
one has labeled it a cause. There
is a time to speak and a time to
be silent and we have to rely on
God for the wisdom of when
those times are at hand.
Some people find it hard to un
derstand that evil, pure evil ex
ists and they don’t acknowledge
it for what it is. They cannot
understand how evil can take
over someone, corrupt them and
make them do heinous things.
Just look at Judas Iscariot.
Satan(evil) overtook him and
he betrayed Jesus. Evil people
preach hate, their speech is filled
with hate and prejudice. The Bi
ble cautions people who call evil
good. So if you think the rioting
and looting is okay, check out
what God tells us. “Woe to those
who call evil good, and good
evil; who substitute darkness for
light and light for darkness; who
substitute bitter for sweet, and
sweet for bitter! Woe to those
who are wise in their own eyes,
and clever in their own sight!
(NAS, Isaiah 5:20-21)
The Bible also tells us to be
wary of people who cause
dissensions and hindrances
contrary to what God teaches us
and that those who do are are
only wanting to serve their own
ends (Romans 16:17-18).
If you are questioning how you
should respond, open your Bible
and see what God has to say.
Spend time alone with Him; ask
Him to reveal what you should
do or not do. If you are sincere
and do so with the right heart,
you will hear from Him and
know what to do. It may sound
simplistic and on some levels it
truly is, but a relationship with
Christ takes time and is not
always easy. You have to seek
Him with all your heart. May
God heal our land.

Building a stronger cellular assembly line
We are made up of sever
al trillion cells and though
we don’t completely die as a
person when several billion
cells die in our body, we can
feel it in other areas such as
low energy levels, sickness and
chronic disease, as well as a
loss of skin elasticity (aging
skin)!
Telomeres are the part of our
cells that are like the end caps
on shoe strings that keep the
strings (DNA) from unravel
ing. As these end caps get wore
down from new generations of
cells passing through, we show
first the signs of aging and
eventually we come to the end
of our life when too many of
these telomeres get shortened
to the point where they can no
longer birth the new cells that
rejuvenate us.
Studying this process seems
a little complicated but it has
helped me picture what hap
pens better, when I imagine
our telomeres being like an
assembly line that assembles
a product (new cells). If this
assembly line got shorter each
cycle, the end products would
not come out looking as good
as when they went through the
full assembly line and eventu
ally when the assembly lines
are completely worn down,
production stops and the fac
tory shuts down.
Inside the several trillion
cells of the body our DNA
holds a blueprint of how it
wants the next gener
ation of cells to look
like, and depending
on how strong or how
weak the assembly line
is, determines how well
the new generation of
cells mirror the blue
print of the parent cells.
This assembly line is
our lifestyle habits that
can either help produce
a healthy generation of
cells or that can further
corrode and damage
this next generation of cells,
causing premature aging and
disease! This can also hap
pen to the original blueprint
(DNA) if it suffers from oxida
tive damage.
Have you ever noticed how
some people carry much the
same appearance throughout
much of their adult life, while
others do not look like the
same person after the 30-40
years? Our external environ
ment, and lifestyle habits
have a lot to do with how our
internal environment is set up
for future generations of cells.
This is why a person who has
had premature aging (due to
smoking, alcohol, drugs as
well as inactivity, unhealthy
or unbalanced diet, lack of
sunshine, rest and other bad
lifestyle habits) can oft times
correct the above and gradual
ly become younger in appear
ance along with an
increase in vitality
and energy.
There is new re
search that indicates
that the enzyme telo-
merase can gradually
rebuild the length
of our telomeres
and though they
are uncertain as to
whether it will extend
cell life, they seem to
be certain that it will
extend the youthful
ness of our new generations of
cells vs. creating older decrep
it cells. Either way lifestyle
habits seem to be the leading
factor of determining how we
extend youthfulness into our
latter years.
It can help us if we imagine
our lifestyle habits as em
ployees standing along our
personal cellular assembly line
building our next generation
of cells. This assembly line will
determine how they will look
in appearance along with their
capability to rejuvenate and
fight disease! We can either
employ bad habits or good
habits...
Assembly line employees
that need to be FIRED:
1. Polluted oxygen (smok
ing and other environmental
toxins)
2. Processed Fluids (sodas
etc.)
3. Unhealthy or unbalanced
diet
4. Lack of sunshine
5. Inactivity
6. Lack of good deep sleep
Hire these assembly line
employees: we can do this
by identifying and replacing
our bad habit(s) above with
these...
1. Clean air
2. Water
3. Balanced diet from unpro
cessed foods
4. Sunshine
5. Exercising and staying
active
6. Deep sleep and NO caffeine
for 6 hours prior to sleep
These employees of good
health have synergy with each
other and when one of the
above employees are missing
for a while or are not at work,
it will show up in how you
look, act and feel both physi
cally and mentally!
Remember: you are made up
of new cells every year, your
healthy habits today deter
mines your cellular make up
for tomorrow!
I believe 100% that God
designed our body with innate
capabilities that no man has
ever been able to match in
modern medical science along
with a unique capability to
take the simple basics above
