to that you will act thus, You aow know your strength. It was made manifest on the hist Monday in this month. Will you not put it all forth, on this great occasion? I know your adversa ries calculate on your apathy. Take my word for it, they laugh secretly and con temptuously at your supposed indiffer ence, They already exult in their hearts, at their anticipated victory over you. They hope you evill not go to the polls, and .that hence, their victory will be easy. If you are men, therefore—if you have the spirit of men about you—if you would not be branded as dastards—recreants to a glvrious cause and an honorable name, turn, every one of you, and show them that they grossly insult you by such an imputation—Show to the whole world that you never will, never while life and be mg last, permit any man who has been nurtured in the admonition of federalism, and brought up in the Y -zoo scho 1, as at the feet of Gamaliel, to triumph over yon, while any honest effort, or any pure sacri fice on your part can prevent it. 1 have done. You have read my sen'i ments in a former number. I flatter my self you have profited by my humble, though solemn admonitions: for if you were not moved by them to the perfoitn ance of your doty then, neither would y*>u be moved thereto now, if one rose fiotn the dead. 1 cannot think so meanly of you. Apply them, then, to the present occasion—they will suit it as well as they did (he former. But if you cannot do so -f you shall have so soon forgotten them, as to permit the first Monday in November to pass without another effort, still more vigorous than the last, never a gain pretend to be a party —never pol lute the name of Troup by taking it upon your lips, or applying it to yourselves, your principles or your practices BURKE. j Electors of President and lice President.
