On and after the 15th, day of
February of each year, any dog
found in the city limits not licensed
or not wearing the tag or badge as
herein provided, shall be taken by
the marshal and impounded, and if
the tax on the same is not paid with
in twenty-four hours sliall be de
stroyed by said marshal, and the
person on whose premises tlie dog is
found shall be reported to the May
or's court for punishment, but if
such person sliall pay the fine im
posed, and at once shall register
such dog, then such dog sliall not
be destroyed, but shall be surrend
ered to the owner.
Any nerson resisting such officer
in the dicharge ol' this duty sliall be
punished as in other eases of resis
tance to ofificeis, and any unlicensed
dog found in the city shall be sur
rendered on demand by the person
on whose premises it may be found,
and refusal to do so sliall lie regard
ed :v u resistance to the officer de
manding the surrender.
All laws and parts of laws in con
flict with this ordinance shall lie and
the same is hereby repealed.
