The three schools of Misses Bes

throats came into their listening

To Organize n Home Guard.
The Cmioxtci.E thinks that the or
ganization of a company to act as a
borne guard would be appropriate
now. Not that there is any danger
or remote probability that such an
organization would ever be
to repel an invasion by a foreign foe,
but that it would prove a safeguard
to property at this particular time,
Tramps and other vicious characters
are always with us, who are on the
lookout for opportunities to steal
plunder. With such an organi

could be thoroughly patroied al
night, and petty theft, burglary and j
arson could lie prevented. There is !
no doubt plenty of the best material j
in Abbeville for such an organization ' !
that could be relied on. In case of!
an emergency of any kind the Home
Guard would be of inestimable
vice to Abbeville. The (.’iiRONiei.E
