A Correction.
Last week wc referred to the bug
gy reins of a gentleman being cut
maliciously some time ago. and w**
are glad to say that after thorough
investigation it lias been discovered
that they were cut to save the horse
and buggy also. Here’s the way of
it: the horse was tied by the reins to
the buggy wheel, and the horse in
moving about got to backing and be
came entangled in such a way he
was about to throw himself and up
set the buggy and the only way of
relief was to cut the reins, which was
done as an act of kindness and not
malice as was first supposed. The
above is the statement of a dozen or
more eye witnesses, and we are glad
to get the matter set right before
the people.
