A large number of Abbeville's \ oung people assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J R Monroe Mon day evening and enjoyed themselves immensely in all the fun to be rived from a “tackey” party. Each and every one tried to excel iu the awkwardness and antique tion of Ins dress. Two prizes were offered for excellency in this art and after The assemblage had talked, frolicked and laughed themselves hoarse a committee was appointed to investi gate and report the names of‘the successful contestants. When the* committee announced ready* to re port all held their breath till the names were announced. Miss Clyde Melton and Mr. James Sutton proved to be the artists indeed of the occasion and carried away the prizes. " Ed Anderson:—“It looks like Abbe ville and the college are on a boom.
