About four years ago one side of
my abdomen began to enlarge from
a growth inside. It grew to such
proportions that it seemed to fill the
abdomen. Then dropsy began and
swelled both legs and stomach to
twice their normal size. The doctors
called the trouble enlargement of
the spleen, and told me I must die.
I was removed from the hospital and
sent for Dr. J II Me I,can’s Liver
and Kidney Balm. I took seven
bottles and continually gained and
am well in every way now. The
dropsy entirely disappeared and left
the growth very small.

home of Mr. Davis, till on last Sat
urday he ruthlessly snatched away a
fair jewel—little May Davis. Her
sojourn was full short; but little
dust cleaved to her tender feet.
She seemed a cherub who bad tost
her way and wandered hither, so her
stay was short, for she must be off
again to her native home with God.
She goes to life and not death, from
the darkness of this vale of tears to
the light of life’s native sky. She
goes from sickness and pain to
health and immortality. Then let
our farewell be tearless. The self
