Work is progressing very rapidly
on the annex to the new building
now. We are glad to see it nearing
completion. It will add much to
the room and convenience as well.
It speaks well for the school to see
it arrive at the place where the once
commodious apartments are inade
quate to the present flourishing con
ditions. It is an evidence of anoth
er step ol advancement it has made.

Programme has been arranged for
another reunion which will take place
some time in the near future, aud
everyone will be entertained by those
whose names are found on it Re
unions are enjoyed immensely by
those who wisli to participate in the
fun. They are some of the few de
lightful social gatherings that have
no tendency towards vice, The
most fitted for school now extant.
Of course we like them, for a little
pleasure now and then is relished
by the best of men. It is likely that
some of the old students will attend
again, some of those of whom it can
truthfully be said that teacher aud
pupils alike, regret their departure.

Mrs. M E Malton’s Fall Opening was enjoyed by nil
Abbeville on Monday afternoon and evening; every one
was made welcome aud their presence was greatly ap
preciated.
All ladies love pretty hats and they were there in
abundance—the Prettiest Line of Millinery Ever Shown
in Abbeville—nothing could cxcell in quality and good
taste—every color was displayed from the lightest pas
tel! to the most brilliant lines. The walls and counters
were robed in splendor which lost none of its beauty in
tlie gas light—with everything to please the eye.
There was still a greater treat in store. The* Abbe
ville Star Band rendered some of their best selections
which was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by all.
Abbeville is justly proud of her band.
