Little Jarrel Wimberly Burned to

The many triends of Mr. and Mrs.
L P Wimberly deeply sympathise
with them in the death of their littlo
son, Jarrell, age three years, who
was accjdently burned last Friday
afternoon at 4 o’clock. Mrs. Wim
berly had only left the littlo fellow a
few minutes before in charge of a
negro boy, who was sweeping the
yard, to visit a sick friend at her
next door neighbor’s, Mrs. Paxsons.
It is thought that Jarrell had goue
into tlie house in search of his
mother and began playing in tlie fire.
As soon as tha accident was discov
ered tlie best medical skill was at
and hand everything that Drs."Craw
ford and G.ooge could do was done
to allay the suffering. Jarrell died
at 9 o’clock Friday night and
was burred Sunday morning in the

We were glad to receive a visit
from our old and good friend, Arthur
Little. . Arthur is both looking and
doing well.
There arc more students in school
now who believe and act up to the
motto, “Duty is the sublimest word
in the English language,” than ever
before.
The thanks of us all are due to
Mrs. Capt. Hallows for her assistance
in beautifying the campus.
Mr. Mauldin set out several more

Pneumonia Can be Prevented.
This disease always results from a
oold or an attack of the grip and may
be preveted by the timely use of
Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. That
remedy was extensively used, during
the epidemics of La Grippe of the
[last few years, and not a single ease
lias ever been reported that did not
recover or that resulted in pneumonia
which shows it to be a certain pre
ventive of that dangerous disease,
Chamberlain’s Cougli Remedy lias
gained a world wide reputation for its
cures of colds and grip. For sale

How to Cure the Grip.
Remain cpiietly at home and take,
Chamberlain's Cough Remedy as di
rected and a..quick recovery is sure
to follow. That remedy counteracts
any tendency of the grip to result iq
pneumonia, which is really the only
serious danger. Among the tens of

not one case has ever been reported
that did not recover. For sale at

Danger of Colds and La-Grippe.
4 ----
The greatest danger from colds
and la-grippe is their resulting in
pneumonia. If reasonable care is
used however, and Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy taken, all danger will
be avoided. Among the tens ot
thousands who have used this rem
edy for these diseases we have yet to
learn of a single ease having resulted
in pneumonia, which shows oonciu
sively that it is a certain preventive
of that dangerous malady It will
cure a cold or an attack of lagrippe
in less time than any other treatment,
It is pleasant and safe to take. Por
