We should pray earnestly that
gome important things may come
into our lives during the year.
For standards of living that are
high and worthy; for that meas
ure of growth each day that will
enable us to fullfill God’s purpose
concerning us; for grace to mani
fest the Christ spirit in each ex
perience that comes to us; for
power to do the work that is laid
upon us successfully and effec
tively: for an increasing joy in
the glorious truths and promises
of the gospel, and for the consci
ous presence of God with us each
day.—Christian Index

The things which are behind,
however, are not so important as
the things which are before. We
are to learr. the lessons which
past things have to teach us, and
then to forget those things. Turn
