leaves there at 10:30 p. m,, and leaves
Cordele for Albany at 5:30 a. m. so
that passengers to Cordele can re
main in the sleeper until 5:30, a very
agreeable feature for Cordele travel

. Waycross, May 3.—Announcement
was made by the Consumers’ Gas &‘
‘Coke company that.contracts for a
‘plant that will cost in the neighbor
hood of $200,000 had been given to
the American Gas Construction com
pany, of Newton, lowa, work to begin
within two weeks. Sixteen miles of
mains will be put down immediately
and the plant completed by Sept. 15.

After conducting a two weeks' Te
vival meeting at the Methodist church
at Dawson, Rev. Walter Anthony has
returned to Cordele. The meeting at
that place was a most successful one,
many accessions being made to the
church membershinp.
Rev. Anthony will ‘occupy his pulpit
at the usual hours Sunday morning
and evening. At the 11 o'clock ser
vice his subject will be “Christian
Greatness.” The hour of evening ser
vice is changed from 7:30 to 8 o’clock.
At this hour his subject will be “Pearls
before swine.”
