ROUMANIA ENTERS WAR
ON SIDE OF ENTENTE ALLIES
London, Aug. 29.—Rumanio has en
tered the war with the allies. Official
announcement is made at Berlin that
the existence of a state of war with
Austria-Hungary was proclaimed in
Rucharest Sunday evening.
Berlin also announces that Germany
has declared war cn Rumania and Bul
garia and Turkey are cxpected to take
similar action.
No indications have heen received of
the immediate ecect on the militory
situation in the Baikans, which now
becomes of preponderant imporiance,
or of the moves doubtless already inau
gurawd by Rumania and by her op
poneni. It is to he expected Runania
il follow a plan of campaign mapped
out by the high council.of the entente
powers whether against Austria-Hun
gary or bulgaria or hoth.
An indication that Rumania moved
in accordance with a predetermined
plan of the allies is found in the fact
that her declaration of war was made
on the same day as Italy's declaration
against Germany.
HARRIS LOOKING FOR
DORSEY’'S BIG CROWDS
Atlanta, Aug. 29.—1 n spite of the
most careful scrutiny and examination,
Governor Harris has failed to find a
single court house where the walls
were cracked by theaudinnee proked in
to hear Hugh Dorsey present his
claims for governor, according 1o
statements in the Harris campaign
headquarters.
Following the trial over which (he
Foiton solicitor has recently traveled
the governor was not certain, judging
by accounts in a certain Atlanta news
paper, whether he would find any
courthouse standing, but his appre
hensions on this score were entirely
unfounded. Things are moving along
in about the same way they have al
ways moved, according to his head
quarters, and the governor has not
found u single ‘court house in such a
condition as even to warrant an exam
ination by the local building inspecior.
By way of showing the people some
thing of the extreme “feebleness” of
his health, which his opponents sud
denly stopped talking about some
weeks ago, Governor [arris today is
speaking in eight different towns along
the Tennessee horder in North Geor
gia, making the trips from town to
town in an automobile.

FARMS IN DOUGHERTY
HARD HIT BY WEEVIL
Albany, Aug. 29.—That 96 per cent
of the farms in Dougherty county are
weovil infested, is the statement méddc
by Couniy Agricultural Agent H. H
P?arrish, who is making a tour of the
county. Hle has visited all except the
extreme eastern scction of the coun-
Y.
The weoevils are thick in many fields,
thongh some fields are not badly in
fested. Few blossoms are found and
there will be practically no top crop.
Mr. Parrish estimates the damage to
the crop in thig county 50 per cent—
-36 per cent frecm excessive rain and
gubscquent unfavorable weather, and
15 per cent from the weevil.
" The increased acreage, it is believ
ed, will result in the connty harvesting
a crop about equal to that of last
year, which was a small crop year.

{it generally means you have been eat-
Ling too much meat, says a well-known
fauthority. BMeat forms uric acid which
loverworks the kidneys in their effort

come sort of paralyzed and loggy.
{ When your kidneys get sluggish and
{clog you must relieve them, like you
reiieve your bowels; removing all the

| backache, sick headache, dizzy spells;
your stomach sours, tongue is coated,
{and when tire weather is bad you have

fcloudy, full of sediment, channels often
get sore, water scalds and your are
obliged to seek relief two or three
titnes during the night.

This famous salts is made from the
Lacid of grapes and lemon juice, com
hined with lithia, and has been used
{for generations to clean and stimu

meat eaters. It is inexpensive, can
not injure and makes a delightful, ef
