of officers, a visit to the Masonic
| Home near Macon, and a business and
social session last night in the Demp
sey ballroom the seventeenth annual
session of the Grand Chapter, Order
of Eastern Star, came to a close last
night.
Mrs. Winnifred MeConnell, of Savan
nah, was elected Gread Worthy Ma
tron, and Frank F, Baker, Macon

~ During the afternoon session a
!short business meeting was held for
unfinished and new business. At 5
o'clock the delegates were given an
automobile ride out to Masonic Home
where they were entertained by the
big family thert, under the direction
of Supenintendent Collier. Many of
the Macon members entertained the
delegates at luncheons and dinner
parties yesteiday afternoon and even
ing.
The closing session was held last
night. Miscellaneous business was
first transacted, followed by the in
stallation of the grand officers. Follow
ing the adjournment of the convention
a social hour was held,
