THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
A Flower unblown: a Book unread:
A Tree with fruit unharvested:
A Path untrod: a House whose rooms
lLack yvet the heart’s divine perfumes:
A Landscape whose wide border lies
In silent shade’ neath silent skies:
A wondrous Fount2in yet unsealed:
A Casket with it gifts concealed:
'fhis is the Year that for you waits
Beyond Tomorrow’'s mystic gates,
~ Horatio Nelson Powers.

To Keep the Windshield Clear
Snow and sleet are common t‘eaturesl
of winter weather. They cause mois- |
ture of the windshield ,making it dlf—‘
ficult for the <driver to see where he
is going. L ]‘
To keep the windshield of a car
frce from moisture wipe it over with!
a solution made of one ounce of water
two ounces of glycerein and one
dram of salt.
Pour- this mixture on a piece of
gauze and wipe the glass, with all the
strokes downward. This keeps rain
drops, or water in ary form from
clinging to the glass.
