the Associated Press.)—A bill creat
ing emploves' council for all indus
tries, businesses and trade in Germany
is completed and ready for action by
the Assembly. The bill provides for
councils in all estabiishments em
pleying tifty or more peisons. an in
dustry with fifty werkers to have a
council of three. tifty to one hundred
v counctl of tive, one hundred to a
thousand, cue cextra for each hundred
iid over a thousand employes one
xtra for each five hundred. The
councils will be chosen by secret vote
of all employes over twenty years
from candidates who are over twent;-
four years of age
The councils’ duties will be to pro
tect the interests of employes, to sup
pert the employer in furthering his
business, o see to the carrying out
of loan agreements, to co-operate in
wage disputes, regulating vacations
to ncresse co-operation hetween en
pplovers and employes. aiding in hir
ing and discharging emploves. to sup
port the emplover by advice gnd to ab
taln the highest possible efficiency.

Judge Gower late Thursday night
passed sentence upon D. W. Webster
and A. C. Danby, two men convicted
of having stolen the new Ford Car
belonging to John Nesbitt in Cordele
on the night of May 25th.
Ilach of them had been found guilty
in a leng drawn out, hard fought
legal battle in which Attorneys Jerry
Moore Montezuma and Bill Dodgins of
Fitzgerald defended them. Kach man
got a sentence of three years. This
means service in the state penitentiary
