right. Come and see for yourself and note how you can inerease your crop
and at the same time save mules and labor with this famous tractor. There

TEACHERS IN DEMAND
FROM GEORGIA NORMAL
HEAVY DEMAND IS MADE ON
VALDOSTA INSTITUTION FOR
ITS GRADUATES AS TEACHERS
BIG ENROLLEDMENT.
Valdost, Ga., July 12—Because of
the heavy demand for its graduates
as teachers, the South Georgia State
Normal College is receiving a large
advance list of applications for en
trance the coming term. The college
‘accordingly is planning further ex-
Ipension. At the end of the term just
past, many more graduates were ap-‘
plied for as teacher than could be.
supplied. The apparent desire of many
‘more young women to become teach
ers is partly accounted for by the
bettering prospects of the profession
in various parts of the state and the
South.
The South Georgia State Normal
College has increased in the number
of its students more than 1,000 per
cent since i topened a little over
five years ago. Its growth has been
beyond the expectation even of its
founders.
The school has made some remark
able records. It boasts perhaps the
best health record of any educational
institution in the country. Not a single
case of typhoid, penumonia, or mal
laria has develeped in the school
since its inception.
Even in the “flue” epidemic last year‘
not only one case appeared in the
college, except one wihch was con-‘
tracted by a student while she was
visiting at home. ; |
The school’s patrictic record has
been unusual. to say the least Last
yvear the girls turned out more than
65,000 surgical deressings for ihhe
Red Cross; and this year, as well as
last, ;they wore their uniforms in
stead ‘of spending extra money for
grauation growns,
OOLY CAMP MEETING
PROMISES TO BE BEST IN
HISTORY THIS YEAR
Vienna News: Not only the great
host of Methodists in Dooly, but
members of all denominations look
forward with interest and anticipa
tion each year to the Dooly Camp
Meeting which always begins the last
Sunday in July.
This year those who are accustom
ed to attend these meetings have a
particularly pleasagt prospect, be
cause the camp . meeting directors
hav~ had the good fortune te obtain
the promise of Bishop ~W. N. Ains
worth to be present throughout the
session and do a large part of the
preaching. Bishop Ainsworth is not
only one of the leading ministers
among Georgia Methodists but ranks
also among the leaders in the M. E.
Conference South. It will be a great
privilege to have Mr. Answorth pre
sent for these services. Rev. Smith
the presiding Elder has also arranged
to have several other prominent
preachers present.
Quite a number of familes are ar
ranging to camp on the grounds dur
ing the meeting period, in view
of this cottages will be ro
paired and cleaned and the grounds
will be put in order.
The so-called cork legs do not owe
their name to their composition, but
to the fact that their inventor was a
Dr. Cork. .
