corporatiorT shall be six thousand five

which has been paid in, with the
privilege of increasing said capital
stock to one hundred fifty thousand

majority of the stock, said capi
tal stock to be divided into shares
of one hundred dollars ($100.00), per

have the capital stock paid in, either

ty, Georgia, and L. J. Lyle of Jack
son County, Georgia, respectfully
shows:
1. That petitioners for themselves,
associates, successors and assigns de
sire to be incorporated under the
name and style of Pendergrass Drug
Store, for and during a period of
twenty years, with the privilege of
renewal, as provided by law.
2. The principal place of business
of said Company shall be in the town
of Pendergrass, Jackson County,
Georgia.
3. The business to be carried on
by said corporation is that of dealing
in drugs, groceries, dry goods,
notions, gasoline and oil, and auto
mobile accessories.
4. The object of said proposed cor
poration is pecuniary gain and profit
to its stockholders.
5. The capital stock cf said cor
poration: shall be twenty-five hundred
dollars, with the privilege of in
creasing same to the amount of five
thousand dollars by consent of a ma
jority of the stockholders. The
whole amount of the capital stock
has been paid in.
6. Petitioners desire to have the
further right to buy and sell real
estate and other property necessary
for the conduct of this business, to
borrow money, issue bonds, or exe
cute mortgages, deeds and other se
curities, for the payment of money;
to have all the usual powers incident
to such corporations under the laws
of Georgia, including the powers to
sue and be sued, to have aftd use a
corporate seal, to make -'by-laws and
ail necessary contracts for the con
duct of their business.

from Thomas Reynolds to The Fed
eral Land Bank of Columbia, will
be sold, on the first Tuesday in Au
gust, next, within the legal hours of
sale, before the county court house
door, in Jefferson, at public auction,
to the highest -bidder, for cash, the
following described lands, to-wit:
All that tract or parcel of land,
situate, lying and being in the coun
ties of Jackson and Banks, (mostly
in Jackson county),. State of Georgia,
adjoining lands of O. R. and Thomas
Reynolds on the north and east, O.
R. and Thomas Reynolds and Chand
ler’s Creek on the south, and Hollis
Henderson on the west, containing
ninety-five and 55-100 (95.55)
acres, more or less, according to a
plat and survey of same, made by
L. N. Turk, surveyor, on August 26,
1921.
The power hereby exercised was
granted in the deed of said Thomas
Reynolds to said Bank, which said
deed is dated September 15, 1921,

page 331-2, Clerk’s Office, Jackson
County, Georgia, and all recitals

title to the purchaser will be in the
deed conveying the same by the un

terms of the note and deed to said

by a sale of said property under the

complete title to said lands, togeth
er with the rents of said lands, and
with all rights of landlord granted
in the deed to the Bank, apd the
money arising from the sale will be
