700 TONS OF “CHINA EGGS”
ARRIVE IN UNITED STATES
China eggs not the fragile china
variety used to coax the setting hen,
hut 700 tons of the genuine product
of the hen—have arrived at New York,
on the Cunarder Aquitania.
On the ship’s manifest they were
li- ted E3 “dessieated eggs,” which
does not mean that they were .struck
by a storm at sea, but simply that
the diligent Chinese did what the
liens could not do—separated the
whites from the yolks and put them
in different tins.
The eggs are consigned to a bak
ing company.

WHAT TO LEARN
1. Learn to laugh. A good laugh
is better than medicine.
2. Learn to tell a helpful story.
A well-told story is a welcome as a
sunbeam in a siek room.
Learn to keep your troubles
to yourself. The world is too busy
to linger over your ills and sorrows.
4. Learn to stop 'roakhtg. If you
cannot see any good in this world,
keep the bad to yourself.
5. Learn to greet your friends
with a smile. They carry too many
frowns in their own hearts to be
bothered with any of yours.—St. Paul

of preparation or long cooking, and
at reasonable prices, she can serve her
family and guests with a wide vari

or less in the epicurean class, or
the preparation of which entailed much
