Whereas, S. T. Swindle, of Jack
,on County, Georgia, by his warranty
dated October 20, 1921, and
July recorded in Book TT, at page
of the Land Records of Jack
n'County, Georgia, conveyed to

To secure the promissory note of
said S. T. Swindle, for the sum of
three hundred fifteen and 70-100 dol-
payable in installments, and in
said deed provided that in event of
the default in payment of any install
ment of said note, said Company
might declare the unpaid balance
thereof at once due and payable and
sell said land for the payment there
of: and,
Whereas, the installment of said
note due February Ist, 1927, was
not paid when due, and is still un
paid, and said Company has de
clared the entire unpaid balance of
said note now due and payable.
Now, Therefore, Taft and Com
pany, formerly the Pearsons-Taft
Land Credit Company, under and by
virtue of the power "and authority in
said Company vested by said war
ranty deed, will proceed to sell the
above described real estate and ap
purtenances thereunto belonging at
public sale, to the highest bidder, for
cash, at the door of the county court
house, in the City of Jefferson, State
of Georgia, between the hours of
10 a. m. and 4 p. m. on the 15th day
of June, 1927, for the purpose of
paying said indebtedness, and the
costs of said sale.
As provided in said deed, said sale
will be subject to the rights of the
holder of that certain principal note
originally for $2,000, reduced by
payment to twelve hundred dollars,
described in and secured by that cer
tain warranty deed recorded in Book
TT, at page 354, of the Land Records
of Jackson County, Georgia.
In Witness Whereof, said Taft and
Company has caused these presents
to be executed by its President, and
its corporate seal to be affixed, this
14th day of April, A. D., 1927.

The greater part of said land lies
in Jackson county, Georgia. Said
land is to be sold for the purpose of
satisfying a decree of the court in
the above stated cause wherein it
was adjudged and decreed that New
York Life Insurance Company re
cover from the proceeds of the sale
of the above described property the
sum of twelve thousand dollars
($12,000.00) principal, besides in
terest, attorney’s fees and costs, as
is stated in said final decree.
The sale is to be made subject to
confirmation by the court. The high
est bidder must deposit with the
commissioner immediately after said
bid at least ten per cent of the bid
in cash or by check payable to W.
H. Quarterman, Commissioner, cer
tified by any bank in Georgia which
is a member of the Federal Reserve
System of Banks. Said land is to
be sold subject to all unpaid taxes.

June, 1927, within the legal hours
of sale, at public outcry, to the high
est bidder, for cash, the following de
scribed property, to-wit:
26 3-4 acres of land, more or
less, located on Jefferson-Statham
public road, about 5 miles from Stat
ham, lying and being in the 1747th
district, G. M. Jackson county, Geor
gia, and bounded on the north by
Allen, on the south by lands of Ful
ler dividing line, being the Jefferson-
Statham road, which is the south
bounding of this lot, tract or parcel

The above property has been levied
upon by virtue of a decree in equity
rendered in Jackson county, at the
February term, 1927, against H. W.
Davis, as administrator of Jep Hun
ter estate, and against Love Hunter
and Press Hunter, said decree set
ting up a special lien against said
land in favor of W. A. Wages; said
decree in every way preserving the
rights of the Federal Land Bank of
Columbia, S. C., who now holds a
security deed against said property
in the sum of $500.00. i
The above land will be sold sub
ject to the claim of Federal Land
Bank of Columbia, and sold as the
property of Press Hunter, Love Hun
ter and Jep Hunter estate, they be
ing the parties against whom said
decree in equity was rendered, and

to satisfy tax executions issued
against said property for the years,
1921, 1922, 1923 and 1924, while
said property was owned and con
trolled by E. L. Williamson, and for
the years 1925 and 1926, while said
property was owned as the lands of
J. C. Shields. Said tax executions
being issued by the City of Jefferson
for city taxes for the years above
