Doctors Give Creosote
For Chest Colds
For many years our best doctors have
prescribed creosote in some form for coughs,
colds and bronchitis, knowing how dan
gerous it is to let them hang on.
Creomulsion with creosote and six other
highly important medicinal elements, quick
ly and effectively stops coughs and colds
that otherwise might lead to serious trouble.
Creomulsion is powerful in the treatment
of colds and coughs, yet it is absolutely
harmless and is pleasant and easy to take.
Your own druggist guarantees Creomul

not relieved after taking Creomulsion as
directed. Beware the cough or cold that
hangs on. Always keep Creomulsion on

MONKEY, RUNNING WILD
IN STORE, CREATES PANIC
Charlotte.—The only thing worse
than a bull in a china shop is a
monkey in a department store; so
says David Ovens, manager of a de
partment store here, and he knows.
The trouble began when a young
man with a monkey decided to do
some shopping so he tied the monk
in the basement. No sooner had the
owner left than the Simian took off
his collar and looked about for
worlds to conquer.
The first was the elevator which
had just arrived in the basement.
The elevator boy took one look as
the monkey leaped in the cage,
screamed and fled.
In a split second, the monk slid
through the cage and shinned up the
cables in the shaft to the next floor.
Customers gave a good imitation of
bedlam.
Ovens ran this way and that while
the store detective spent three hours
looking into radios, breaking open
Christmas packages, and picking up
lingerie on the counters searching
for the animal.
But the monk was having a high
time. In fact, he was cavorting a
bout on the ceiling. Then he went
up several floors.
The Good Fellows club was just
beginning a luncheon and the speak
er was commencing his oratory when
a patter of feet sounded on the floor
above.
"It’s that blue eagle running a
way,” suggested one.
"No, it’s a horse,” said another.
Tom Mix was in town with Tony.
"Maybe its the reverberations of
repeal,” suggested a third while a
fourth timidly thought it might be
a mouse.
Meanwhile, the store was still in
something approaching consterna
nation and the monkey was in some
thing he probably thought was a
seventh heaven. He played about
with the toys, then skimmed through
the air on wires and whatnots.
The detective finally figured on
gritting another monkey to .entice
the cavorting one down. But no one
had another monkey. Other ideas
fell through.
“Well, leave him alone for a
while,” Ovens said. “He’ll get a
good view of the city’s Christmas
parade today anyway.”
