GRAND JURY
RECOMMENDS
REPEAL OF ACT
We, the Grand Jury of Jackson
County, Georgia, Superior Court in
adjourned Term Session this the
11 day of April, 1943, recommend
the repeal of the registration and
voters "qualification Act passed at
the last Session of the General As
sembly. It being against the best
interest of many worthy white citi
zens of this county in that it will, if
faithfully and impartially admin
istered, deprive them of the privi
lege of voting. It is costly, cumber
some, impractical and no doubt
prove unworkable after trial.
Therefore, we urge repeal of the
measure at any special session or at
the next regular session of the Gen
eral Assembly.
Respectfully submitted,
C. E. HARDY, Foreman
C. D. 'DRAKE, Clerk
