CONVENTION
Members of the American Legion
throughout the 9th District will hold
their Annual District Convention in
Buford on Sunday, April 24, begin
ning at 9:30 A. M., at High School
Auditorium. It is expected that all
posts in the District will be repre
sented and plans are being com
pleted by Post No. 127, in Buford

POND FORK
A large congregation was present
at the Saturday night service. Sun
day School was fine 'with a large
number present. There was a large
congregation present at the after
noon service. Several visitors were
welcomed. The holy communion
was served. Miss Pattsy Manus
played a solo, ‘Who At My Door Is
Standing!” while the communion
was being served.
Easter Egg Hunt
There will be an egg hunt given
Saturday afternoon, the time will
be 2:30. It will be under the di
rection of Mrs. Horace Thomas. The
children are requested to bring as
many boiled eggs as they wish and
will meet at the church. There
will be a prize egg and also candy
Easter eggs will be given.

Auxiliary held its regular monthly
meeting April 4th. A delicious
evening meal was served, and the
guest speaker was Supt. Pittman
Carter. A most inspiring message
was delivered. We hope he will be
visiting our community again soon.
An announcement of newly elected
officers for both divisions will be
made after the regular May meet
ing.
