For Pest Control Services
The Jackson County Board of
Commissioners is accepting sealed
proposals from experienced quali
fied vendors to provide pest con
trol services at twenty-one build
ings throughout Jackson County.
The vendor that is awarded the
contract to provide pest control ser
vices will work with the Purchasing
Manager and the Elected Officials/
Department Heads to establish a
schedule for treatment that will
satisfy all the requirements outlined
in the Request for Proposal. Specific
deliverables are addressed in the
Request for Proposal.

Vendors will have until 3:00 p.m.,
local time prevailing, on November
30, 2007, to submit a sealed propos
al for the requested services. Sealed
proposals may be submitted by mail
or hand delivered to the Jackson
County Purchasing Manager at the
address above. Mailed proposals
should indicate that the package
contains a sealed proposal to ensure
proper handling. At this time, all
sealed proposals will be opened
and read aloud. The proposals will
then be evaluated according to the
standards listed in the REP and the
vendor whose proposal best meets
the needs of Jackson County will
be awarded the contract. Jackson
County reserves the right to waive
any informalities, to reject any and
all proposals, to evaluate the pro
posals based upon the information
provided by the vendor, to accept
portions of any bid and to accept
any bid, which in its opinion, is in
the best interest of the County. The
County reserves the right to add or
to delete from the contract after the
contract has been awarded.
No proposals will be received or
accepted, after the above specified
date and time for the opening of
all sealed proposals. Proposals sub
mitted after the designated date
and time will be deemed invalid
and will be returned to the bid
der unopened. No proposal may
be withdrawn within sixty (60)
days after the public opening and
reading of the proposals and all
proposals shall remain final during

Ground Athens, Inc., filed an

Communications Commission for a
new FM Non Commercial Broadcast
station to serve the community of
Nicholson, Georgia, on 89.9 Mhz,
Class A at 1,000 watts with an
above ground antenna height of 52
m. The transmitter will be located at
34 degrees 11' 20" N, 83 degrees 26'
59" W. The proposed main studio
address has not yet been determined
but will comply with Section 73.1125
of the FCC's rules. The Board of
Trustees of Common Ground Athens
consists of James Botkin, Susannah
Chapman, Olga Herndon, Andrew

Nicol, and Madelyn Powell.

that Steve Kinney has filed an appli
