•a woman said her ex-boyfriend has
been making harassing phone calls to
her.
•a Hwy. 129 man said someone left a
purse on his porch.
•a Heritage Avenue woman said a man
was knocking on her door and asking for
money.
•dispute between neighbors at an Elrod
Avenue location.
•a woman said her mother-in-law is
harassing her by continuing to drive by
her residence.
•a woman said her juvenile has been
receiving harassing phone calls and text
messages.
•domestic dispute at an Elder Drive
residence.
•bag of suspected marijuana found
in the field house at Jackson County

•identity theft against a Jefferson man.

Incidents reported last week include

Man robbed during card game
A TALMO man said he
was robbed at gunpoint while
playing cards with several
men at a Pleasant Hill Drive
residence.
The victim said one of the
men, who he had never seen
before, pulled out a gun dur
ing the game and took his
money, as well as robbing
two other men in the home.
Other incidents reported to
the sheriff’s office last week
include the following:
•a Gillsville woman said
she and her husband were
moving out of a rental house
when the homeowner parked
a vehicle across the driveway
and “blocked them in.” The
homeowner said they owe
him money and he was also
concerned that they might
take items from the home
that belong to him.
