WJMS FBLA ATTENDS CONFERENCE
The West Jackson Middle School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) went
to Fall Leadership Conference at the Classical Center in Athens. They participated
in workshops to learn how FBLA members should be responsible business leaders
and help their community. They also competed in a Monopoly Tournament. Pictured
are: Chelsea Doster, Dylan Thomas, Peyton Fisher, Breanna Haines, Jessie Stapler
and Hailey Hunt.

COSEY NAMED TEACHER OF THE MONTH

a former student of JCCHS
in Ms. Julie Barber's class
who was born with Rhett's
syndrome.
“Katie’s memory will live
on with the continuation of
events like Special Olympics,”
organizers state. “We could not
keep these events alive with
out everyone's help. Thanks
again for your support.”
PERFORM RECITAL
Athens Christian School students recently performed
a Christmas piano recital at Athens Regional Medical
Center. Participants from Jackson County were: Emily
Horton and Seth Horton. They are students of Troutner
Piano Studio, Mrs. Melanie Troutner.
NJES WINNER, ALTERNATE
Kennedy Lance (left) is the winner of the annual spell
ing bee at North Jackson Elementary School. Lance
will represent NJES at the system level spelling bee.
Brett Bowen (right) is this year’s alternate, and will also
attend the system level bee. Bowen will represent NJES
if Kennedy is unable to participate.
NJES SPELLING BEE PARTICIPANTS
North Jackson Elementary recently held its annual
spelling bee. Students had to win their classroom
spelling bees in order to participate. Participants
included (L-R): Kaytlin Hansen, Brian East, Kennedy
Lance, Emily Bowen, Arthur Vang, Brett Bowen, Sandie
Gowen, Summer Kennedy, Hannah Martinez, Tate
Warlick, Katelin Brock and Monica Calderon.
