49 people sentenced in recent Jackson County State Court proceedings
FORTY-NINE people were sen
tenced in recent State Court proceed
ings in Jackson County, including the
following:
•Andrew Keith Beauchamp, DUI,
12 months probation, $1,000 fine
and 240 hours community service.
Charges of reckless driving and
speeding were dropped. A charge of
fleeing or attempting to elude a law
enforcement officer was dismissed.
•John Anthony Cruz, driving motor
vehicle with invalid registration and
driving in violation of conditions of
limited permit, $393 fine and 12
months probation. A charge of safety
belt violation was dismissed.
•Sherina Leshay Dunn, no license,
$500 fine and 12 months probation. A
charge of following too closely was
dismissed.
•Neal Coburn Gardner, DUI
(reduced to reckless conduct), speed
ing, $2,000 fine, 12 months proba
tion, Risk Reduction Program, drug
and alcohol evaluation, write a 1,000
word essay and 100 hours community
service.
•William Dale Gray, possession
of marijuana (reduced to disorderly
conduct), $200 fine and 12 months
probation. A charge of simple battery
was dismissed.
•Dontavious Maurice Jackson, fail
ure to dim headlights and obstruction,
$1,000 fine and 24 months probation.
Charges of attempt to elude a law
enforcement officer, failure to main
tain a lane, suspended license and
safety belt violation were dismissed.
•Daniel L. Little, DUI, 12 months
probation, $600 fine and 40 hours
community service. A charge of fail
ure to maintain a lane was dismissed.
•Elizabeth Drake Luthi, no proof
of insurance and driving without a
license, $900 fine and 24 months
probation. A charge of invalid regis
tration was dismissed.
•Eve Oliverio, DUI (reduced to
reckless driving), $600 fine. Charges
of tire, brake and registration viola
tions were dismissed.
•Virgil Floyd, speeding, $143 fine.
•Robert Dontez Randolph Jr., fam
ily violence battery, 24 months pro
bation and $800 fine. Charges of
obstruction of a 911 call and criminal
trespass were dismissed.
•Steven Chadwick Sears, DUI, 12
months probation, $600 fine, drug and
alcohol evaluation, Risk Reduction
Program, 24 hours in jail and 40
hours community service. Charges of
safety belt violation were dismissed.
•Ollie Douglas Stevens, DUI, 12
months probation, $1,000 fine, Risk
Reduction Program, 24 hours in jail
and 40 hours community service. A
charge of child endangerment was
dismissed.
•Kimberly Edell Albritton, theft
by taking and criminal trespass, 12
months probation and $443 fine.
•Andrew Garrett Foster, criminal
trespass, $200 fine and 12 months
probation.
•Richard Lujuan Gunter, simple
battery-family violence, $1,000 fine.
Charges of obstruction of an officer
and interference with an emergency
call were dismissed.
•Karen Christine Roberts, DUI, 12
months probation, $600 fine, Risk
Reduction Program, drug and alcohol
evaluation and 40 hours community
service. Charges of expired driver's
license, expired tag and stop sign
violation were dismissed.
•Burch Anno Saucier, battery-fami
ly violence, $500 fine.
•Milton W. Smith, deposit account
fraud, $100 fine, restitution and 12
months probation.
•Monroe Jarrett Wells, battery, $300
fine and 12 months probation.
•Dennis C. Adams III, speeding,
$263 fine and 12 months probation.
•Scott Wesley Allan, Jr., speeding,
$185 fine.
•Linsey Mitchell Brown, expired
tag, $143 fine and six months proba
tion.
•Maria Bulant, driving without a
license, $703 fine. A charge of expired
driver's license was dismissed.
•Susan Marie Burress, drugs not
kept in original container, $100 fine.
•Jordan Glenn Coe, open container
violation, $200 fine and 12 months
probation.
•Abby Kathrine Conway, speeding,
$183 fine.
•Roberto Samuel DeLeon Jr., stop
sign violation, $143 fine.
•Morgan Fleming, speeding, $207
fine.
•Wendy Lyn Gathof, speeding,
$164 fine.
•Pablo M. Gomez, driving without
a license, $703 fine and 12 months
probation.
•Mark Hunter Harrison, following
too closely, $143 fine.
•Tony A. Howard, speeding, $228
fine.
•Benjamin Thomas Jarrard, speed

and 12 months probation. Charges
of cancelled registration and license
violation were dismissed.
•Michael Lee Richey, simple bat
tery-family violence and obstruction
of a 911 call, $800 fine and 12
months probation. A charge of crimi
nal trespassing was dismissed.
•Kevin Clark Roberts, speeding,
$185 fine.
•Christopher E. Sampson, know
ingly driving a motor vehicle on sus
pended license, $1,000 fine and 24
months probation.
•Royston Sherome Slayton, no
proof of insurance, $400 fine.
•Stephanie Allison Smith, failure to
stop for stop sign, $143 fine.
•Victoria C. Sowders, speeding and
operating vehicle without a valid tag,
$279 fine.
•Robert Russell Stewart, speeding,
$171 fine.
•Casey W. Thompson, operating
vehicle without valid tag, $143 fine.
•Shone Derln Vanderveen, speed
ing, $214 fine.
•Carrie E. Vaughn, obedience to
traffic control device, $143 fine.
Jefferson, Nicholson men injured in stabbings
AN ATHENS man was
stabbed during a dispute on
Fuller Road near Jefferson last
week, according to an inci
dent report filed at the Jackson
County Sheriff’s Office.
When a deputy went to the
scene, he found a man who
had been stabbed in the road.
John Byrd, 165 Fuller Road,
Jefferson, who allegedly
stabbed him was in a nearby
home. Byrd, 28, said it was
self-defense. He was charged
with aggravated assault.
In another report, two
Nicholson brothers got into
an dispute over clothes at a
Jennings Lane residence and
one of the men stabbed the
other. Frank Lee Sewell, 21,
was charged with obstruc
tion of an officer, aggravated
assault and family violence
act for allegedly stabbing his
17-year-old brother on his left
arm. The victim was treated
and released from an Athens
hospital.

ex-boyfriend told her he has a
pistol and threatened her.
•a Braselton man said he
and his 21-year-old son got
into a “pushing match” during
a dispute over doing laundry.

son borrowed his truck and did
not return it at the time he was
supposed to.
•a Jefferson woman said her
husband assaulted her when
she went to his residence to
ask him to sign their divorce
papers.

ter’s boyfriend.
•electronic game system
taken from a Pleasant Hill
Drive, Talmo, residence.
•MP3 player taken from a
Cabin Creek Drive, Nicholson,
residence.
•a South Carolina woman
was driving on 1-85 when a
bullet broke one of the win
dows on her vehicle.
•a Maysville woman said
someone shot holes in three
windows of a home she
owns on Red Oak Road in
Maysville.

a couple at a Lester Road,
Athens, residence.
•a Jefferson woman said
someone tried to open a bank
account in her name.
•vehicle damaged at a Hwy.
82, Jefferson, location.
•a deer in the road caused
a wreck on Hwy. 334,
Nicholson.

his brother has been making
harassing phone calls to him.
He said his brother is upset
because his wife is living with
him.

•possible arson at an Ansley
Lane, Athens, residence.
•several checks stolen from
a Jefferson businessman.
•shoplifting at a Banks
Crossing business.
•a Jefferson man said a debit
card was used at a Florida
business to make purchases
against his bank account.

one called his bank and asked
for a new debit card. He did
not know who did it. Several
unauthorized charges were
also made on his account.

Arcade PD arrest Statham man
A STATHAM man was
arrested for driving under the
influence of intoxicants last
week after leading an Arcade
police officer on a chase.
William Andrew Kinsey,
35,278 Third Street, Statham,
was also charged with reck
less driving, obstruction or
hindering a law enforcement
officer and fleeing or attempt
ing to elude.
An Arcade officer chased
him from the city to Statham
Elementary School where he
left the vehicle and ran on
foot.
