FOR INFORMATION ABOUT
JACKSON COUNTY’S
POTENTIAL RESERVOIR SITES
The STUDY. Jackson County Board of Commissioners

June 2008 undertook a Water Resources Study to
identify potential reservoir sites in Jackson County.
Three sites were tentatively identified. Further

and identifying reasonable measures to mitigate any
adverse effects that might result.
BY-INVITATION OPEN HOUSE. The open house will
consist of a BY-INVITATION informal drop-in center
with maps that will present the site locations and near
by owners land. Representatives from the Jackson
County Water & Sewerage Authority and PRIME
Engineering will be present to answer questions and
discuss the next steps in the study. Property owners
that have not given permission to enter on their
property may do so during the Open House.
Date: Thursday, February 26, 2009
Time: 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Location: Jefferson Civic Center
65 Kissam Street
Jefferson, GA 30549
