FRESHMAN COURT
The freshman class sweetheart court at Jackson
County Comprehensive High School included the fol
lowing: Katie Ruddick, Macey Latty, Trey Sorrells and
Paul Nelson.
SOPHOMORE COURT
The sophomore class sweetheart court at Jackson
County Comprehensive High School included the fol
lowing: Breanna Drew, Megan Carter, Delvon Stephens
and Nick Oney.
SENIOR COURT
The senior class sweetheart court at Jackson County
Comprehensive High School included the following:
Sydney Kastner, Olivia Waldrip, Brooke Jones, Sarah
Holcombe, Katie Betz, Zane Oliver, Johnathon Cooper,
Daniel Lauricella, Jonathon Baxter and Will Wolter.
JUNIOR COURT
The junior class sweetheart court at Jackson County
Comprehensive High School included the following:
Amber Harper, Jessica Stevens, Ana Rodriguez, David
Serna. Johnathon Holton and Ryan Howe.

Parent night held at JCCHS
THE JACKSON County
Comprehensive High
School Parent Involvement
Committee hosted an eve
ning informational session for
parents in the school Media
Center.
Committee members pre
sented a video which intro
duced administrators to
the audience and Mr. Verdi
Huffman, Information
Technologist, gave informa
tion about how to use infor
mation resources for students
and parents which are pro
vided by the school.
Andrea Waldrip, media
specialist, explained how to
access all of the resources
available from the JCCHS
Media Center website.
THREE LOCAL students
have been named to the fall
semester dean's list at Berry
College, Rome.
Hether Renee Scheel, a
junior from Jefferson, was
included on the list. She is the
daughter of David and Tiffani
Scheel and is a government
major.
Carly Elizabeth Turner, a
senior from Jefferson, was
named to the list. She is
the daughter of Denton and
Martha Turner and is an ani
mal science major.
Katelyn Elizabeth Ellis, a
sophomore from Nicholson,
was included on the list. She
is the daughter of Robert and
Patricia Ellis and is an animal
science major.
The dean's list honors stu
dents who posted an academic
average of 3.5 or better on
a 4.0 scale while carrying a
class load of at least 12 hours
during the semester.
