A Precept Ministries
7-week Bible study is being
held on the gospel of Matthew
that began Tuesday, March 10.
The study is written by Kay
Arthur and has a student work

The Prime Timers will
hold their monthly luncheon
meeting titled “The Preacher's
Wife" Thursday, March 12,
at the Jefferson First United
Methodist Church. The Prime
Timers is a group for people
age 55 and over. A covered
dish luncheon will be served at
12:30 p.m. The guest speaker
will be Martha Woodyard of
Conyers. The church is located
at 188 Martin Street.
Solid Rock Baptist
Church, Maysville, will
hold a revival Sunday, March
15, at 7 p.m. and Monday
through Friday, March 16
- 20, at 7:30 p.m. nightly.
The guest speaker for Sunday,
Tuesday and Thursday will
be the Rev. Phil Yarber. The
Rev. Keith Allison will be the
guest speaker for Monday,
Wednesday and Friday. The
Rev. Swayne Carlan is pas
tor. Everyone is welcome to

Pond Fork Baptist Church,
Pendergrass, will host the
following events: Saturday,
March 14, at 6 p.m. there will
be a youth conference with
evangelist Greg Lentz. Mr.
Lentz will direct a combina
tion youth choir. Youth groups
of all churches are invited to
participate. Anyone planning
to be in the choir must be at the
church by 5 p.m. for practice.
Pizza and refreshments will
be served. On Sunday, March
15, evangelist Greg Lentz will
preach in the 11 a.m. and 6
p.m. services. The church is

teen minute lunch break both
days. The theme will be “Keep
Conquering the Evil With the
Good,” based on Romans
12:21. There will be talks,
interviews, demonstrations,
reenactments and experiences
relating to the theme. The dis
trict overseer, Leslie Jones Jr.,
will speak on several topics
related to that theme includ
ing “Fortified to Conquer the
Evil With the Good,” “Beware
of Overconfidence!” and
“Strengthening Our Faith to
Conquer the World.” There
will be two symposiums. The
assembly hall is located at
125 Glen Road NE, Conyers.

porary assistance for needy

nationally known as an inspi
ration speaker, dramatist and
musician. Gray will be por
traying Mary, the mother of
Christ, in a performance that
recounts her story from the
day the angel visited until her
first-born Son is crucified. The
Master's Table will cater the
