way last week for the Eagles of East Jackson,
as the EJCHS football program prepares to
enter its junior season.
The Eagles will enter the 2009 season off of
a 2008 run that showed flashes of promise. The
Eagles went 3-7 overall, and 3-6 in their first
season of region play in 8-AA. East Jackson
recorded wins over Oglethorpe County, Rabun
County and Dawson County, as well as just
missing in close games against West Hall and
North Oconee.

game.
After spring practice wraps up this week, the
Eagles will have to wait until after August 1 to
hit the field again for practice. The first games
across the state are slated for August 28.
