SHADOW DAY AT BENTON
Benton Elementary recently held a shadow day where students visited classrooms
in the grade they were moving up to. They were able to ask questions and get an
idea of what to expect in the upcoming school year. Pictured is first grade teacher

MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND STUDENTS HONORED
Sixth grade band students from Kings Bridge and East Jackson Middle Schools
were recently selected to participate in the Georgia Music Educators Association
First-Year Band Clinic. Middle school band directors Miguel Guisasola, Kings
Bridge, and David Van Buren, East Jackson, commended the students for their hard
work and dedication, and congratulated them for being selected to perform in this

a new Wednesday family
event titled “Strengthening
the Family” beginning on
Wednesday, June 17, from 6
- 8 p.m. and will run for six
or eight weeks. “Organizers
will focus on strengthen
ing individuals, families,
churches, and the communi
ty through fellowship, praise
and prayer, and Bible learn
ing,” leaders state. A nutri
tious meal will be offered
to families, followed by a
time of praise and prayer
and age specific studies. The
first adult study will focus
on “Who is Jesus?” For more

The group of seventeen will

tionships with the locals."
