YOUTH WRESTLING
BANDITS ATTEND SHOWCASE
The North Georgia Bandits participated in the inaugural Scenic City 16s College
Showcase in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which was held June 4-7 at Warner Park and
Frost Stadium. Some 60 teams representing seven states participated, with each
team playing 6 games during the weekend. The Bandits came away from the week
end with three wins, two ties and one loss. Team members include, pictured, front
row, Stephanie Satterfield, Jordin Ellingson, Kaitlyn Seabolt, Bralee Griffin, Kylee
Martin, back row, head coach Jimmy Martin, Brooke Yarbrough, Kelsie Gray, Karly
Thompson, Laura Rose Pickens, assistant Jeff Pickens, Natalie McLaughlin, Kim
Garrett, Ashley Denton and assistant Greg Satterfield.
County Park and Rec camp registration open
THE JACKSON County Park and Rec
department has several camps and clinics on
tap, as well as registration for fall sports.
•Soccer camp will be held July 13-17,
hosted by Euro Tech Soccer and held at
Lamar Murphy Park. Cost is $100, $80 for
Magic Micro ages 4-6.
•Basketball Clinic/League will be held
June 29 at Benton gym or West Jackson
Primary gym for ages 8-12. Cost is $65.
•Football clinic/camp will be held on July
27-31 for ages 7-12 from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Cost is $65.
•Cheerleading clinic/camp will be held on
July 27-31 for ages 7-12 from 6 p.m.-8:30
p.m. Cost is $65.

Fall sports registrations begin run through
Aug 8 for football, cheerleading, soccer, fall
fast pitch and fall baseball. Opening day for
all sports is Sept. 12.

STATE CHAMP
Wesley ‘Tad’ Bussey of Jackson County Youth Wrestling recently won the Southeast
Region Championship on May 23 in freestyle wrestling and won the State
Championship in freestyle wrestling and in Greco-Roman wrestling. He competes
in the 8 and under class at 90 lbs. He will be a third grade student at Gum Springs
Elementary School.
