third annual “Reach Week”
Thursday through Sunday, July
23 - 26. Leaders state, “We
will be meeting people’s needs
in a variety of ways including:
at the Bentley Assisted Living
center, hosting a block party,
serving at the Peace Place,
serving meals at the Good
Samaritan Food Bank, work
ing with Habitat for Humanity,
hosting a free car wash, offer
ing a free movie night at the
Jefferson Recreation Center
and going on prayer walks
throughout the community.”

Maxey Hill Baptist
Church, Jefferson, will hold a
choir anniversary on Saturday,
July 25, at 4 p.m. The guests
will be “The Millsaps,” local
churches and local groups.
Refreshments will be served
in the fellowship hall. The

The First Pentecostal
Oneness Church of Arcade
will hold its monthly singing
on Saturday, July 25, at 6 p.m.
The singers will be “Grace and
Mercy” and the church singers.

ers will be The Gospel Barn
Singers, The Stevens Sisters
and The Johnie and Shirley

Jefferson First United
Methodist Church will hold
its annual back-to-school
clothes closet and bookbag
mission on Saturday, July 25,
from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the fel
lowship hall. Clothing items
from infant to adult sizes will
be available free of charge.
Bookbags filled with basic
school supplies will be avail
able for school age children.
The Elizabeth Circle, which is
sponsoring the mission proj
ect, is accepting contributions
of ‘gently used’ clothing and
bookbags, notebook paper, dry
erase markers and financial
contribution. The church is
located at 188 Martin Street,
near downtown Jefferson.
Women of the church are
invited to volunteer during the
preliminary efforts on July 24
and the day of the event. For

New Beginning Worship
Center’s pastor, Rochard
White, will celebrate his
first pastoral anniversary on
Sunday, July 26. The Rev.
Kevin Wood of New Faith
Methodist Church, Commerce,
will speak at the 11 a.m. ser

the church. Dinner will be
served following the 11 a.m.
service at Parham restaurant.

RECENT PRIME TIME CLUB EVENT HELD
The Prime Time Club of Jefferson United Methodist
Church traveled to Royston on July 9, to eat lunch at
Bar-H-Bar-B-Q and visit the Ty Cobb Museum. The
group also ate homemade ice cream at the Spinning
Wheel Ice Cream Parlor. Lots of fun and fellowship
was had by all, leaders state. To join in on the trips,
