THE EAST Jackson Middle

13th annual chapter awards
banquet. FFA members were
recognized for their accom

development events provided
through the agriculture edu

The theme for this year
was “Step Up Stand Out.”
Chapter president Mason
Brown challenged each
member during his opening
address to do just that with
these words: “The FFA pro
gram at EJMS has helped us
to find success in ourselves
by being able to participate
in hands-on learning expe
riences that prepare us for
more than 300 career oppor
tunities in the food, fiber and
natural resources industries
of agriculture. We believe
that all 102 members of our
chapter need an environment
and experiences that promote
personal growth so we can
Step Up and Stand Out. FFA
members stand out by recog
nizing how important it is to
be active in their schools and
communities. Members of
the FFA are urged to step up
when volunteers are sought,
friendship is needed and
leadership is required.”
The awards program con
tinued by recognizing FFA
