POULTRY TEAM PLACES THIRD IN STATE
Members of the East Jackson Comprehensive High School FFA Junior Poultry
Evaluation Team were recently recognized at the state FFA convention for the team’s
third place finish at the State Poultry Career Development Event. Team members
are (L-R) Aaron Elliot, Newt Gilman, Brooke Chrisley (fifth high individual) and Greg
Gilman, advisor.

JMS plans registration, open house
JEFFERSONMiddle School
will be holding open house/
registration on Thursday, July
30, from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
During registration, parents
and students will complete the
necessary documentation for
the 2009-2010 school year,
receive their schedule, meet
their teachers, and obtain
other important informa
tion about Jefferson Middle
School. All registration mate
rials can be accessed on the
Jefferson Middle School web
site at www.jeffcityschools.
org. Parents may complete
all documents prior to open
house to help expedite the
registration.
All students returning to
Jefferson City Schools will
report to their grade level
halls upon arrival. New stu
dent to the Jefferson City
School System should report
to the guidance office.
An opportunity will be
provided for parents to pur
chase additional items for
their student, such as lockers
and physical education uni
forms. School store supplies
and Booster Club member
ships will also be available for
purchase.

Jefferson Community breakfast cancelled
The Jefferson City Board
of Education has cancelled
its annual community break
fast that had been planned
for Wednesday, July 29.
The breakfast was can
celled due to state budget
cuts that mandate furlough
days for staff.
EJMS plans orientation, open house
EAST JACKSON Middle
School will hold Eagle Day
open house and orientation
for sixth grade students and
parents from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
August 4 at the Eagles Eatery.
Doughnuts and juice will be
served.
Eagle Day will include stu
dent scheduling, orientation,
school tours, school proce
dures and more.
KBMS plans
open house
KINGS BRIDGE Middle
School will hold its open
house from 4 to 7 p.m.
