THE JEFFERSON Lady

continues to dominate on
the court, as they added two
more wins to their record last
week, and remain undefeated
at 5-0 in area play.
Next up is a home stand for
the Lady Dragons, as they
play host to Rabun County

Lakeview Academy last

first set decidedly, 19-25.
The Lady Dragons trailed
23-20 in the second set until

unanswered points to win
the set.
In the third set, the score
went back and forth between
the two teams until Cassie
Metcalf scored six straight

match 2-1.
Stephanie Fincher, who con

two errors, led Jefferson’s
offense. Amanda Daniel had
11 assists. Carolyn Carreno
had eight assists.
“Lakeview is a very good
team,” said coach Michael
Paul. “We played one of our
best matches of the season to
beat them in a very tough and
highly competitive match.”
Jefferson went on to face
Jackson County in a non-area
match later in the evening,
defeating the Lady Panthers
2-0 with set scores of 25-20
and 25-14. The match gave
Jefferson a chance to play
some of their reserves, which
Paul said performed very
well.
“I am very proud of the
progress of Bree Shields,
Megan Wilson, and Brittany
Bernstein,” he said. “They
work hard in practice and
played well against Jackson
County.”
The Lady Dragons were
slated to travel to Tallulah
