A HOSCHTON man’s
cousin sold his box truck to
a junk yard without the man’s
knowledge, according to the
Jackson County Sheriff’s
Office.
The man’s wife said another
family member called the man
to say his cousin sold a 1976
box truck to a local junk yard
without his consent, accord
ing to an incident report. The
cousin then used the money
from the sale of the vehicle
and its contents to pay for his
mother’s house payment.
The truck was only used for
storage and contained 12 trac
tor-trailer truck tires, tools, a
generator, batteries and other
items. The truck and its con
tents were valued at $18,850.
The man’s wife said they
didn’t want to press charges
against the cousin, but wanted
the property returned.

Entries are due in the Mar-Jac booth at 12:00 noon
Any dish containing chicken may be submitted,
including casseroles, soups and salads. Fried,
barbecued or smoked chicken parts may not be
entered. A copy of the recipe used must be
included with the entry. By entering the cook-off,
contestants agree to allow recipes to be
published.
Entries will be judged based on taste, originality and appearance.
