GAINESVILLE - Beverly
Bullock Clark, 56, died
Sunday, January 10, 2010, at
the Northeast Georgia Medical
Center in Gainesville.
Born in Reynolds, she had
lived in Hall County for over 35
years. She was the daughter of
Lou Ella Bullock of Jefferson
and the late Floy Bullock. She
worked for a number of years
as a Pre-K teacher at First
Presbyterian Child Care, First
Baptist and most recently at
Kids Cove at Lakewood Baptist
Church, where she also was a
member.
Survivors include her hus
band, Gary Clark, Gainesville;
daughters and sons-in-law,
Mitzi and Mitchell Dunagan,
Cleveland, Candice and Ryan
Stewart, Dublin; grandchildren,
Justin Dunagan, Brooks Teal,
Michaella Stewart, Reagan
Dunagan and Michael Stewart;
brother, Glenn Bullock,
Jefferson.
Memorial services will be
held Wednesday, January 13, at
5 p.m., from the chapel of Little

with Tom Smiley and the Rev.
Don Ormsbee officiating. The
family will receive friends at
the funeral home Wednesday
from 3 p.m. until the funeral
hour.

at Vineyards Creek Baptist
Church in Comer with the Rev.
Roger Whiten officiating. At
Larry’s request the body was
cremated.

Edge, 89, died Friday, January
8, 2010.
Born in Braselton on October
11,1920, and
she began a
long career
in 1943 at
J.C. Pool
Department
Store in
Winder,
where she
was the
manager
and buyer
for ladies and children’s wear.
After retirement, she worked
several more years at the Pool’s
Lawrenceville store until 1992.
Mrs. Edge was preceded in
death by her husband, Henry
Lee Edge; an infant daugh
ter, Ann Edge; and sisters,
Levie Holman, Effie Barnette,
Gertrude Bond and Mary Bond,
all of Braselton.
Survivors include nephews,
Billy Barnette, Demorest, and
Ted Barnette, Auburn; great-
nephews, Tommy Barnette,
Flowery Branch, and Tim
Barnette, Gainesville; many
close nieces and nephews of
the Edge and Cronic families;
and special long timefriends,
Ramona Roberts, Lucille
Segars, Brenda Wilborn and
David Tuck.
Funeral services were held
Sunday, January 10, at Smith
Memory Chapel with Lester
Hall officiating. Burial was at
Barrow Memorial Gardens.

House.
Born in Jackson County she
was the daughter of the late
Martin and Esther Howington
Williams. She was a home
maker. Mrs. Epps was preceded
in death by her husband, G.B.
Epps Sr.; and a brother, D.D.
Williams.
Survivors include sons,

Born in Greenwood, S.C. on
April 12, 1946, she was the
daughter of the late Marion
and Winona Martin Williams.
She was a bookkeeper having
worked with Becky & B.W.
Hutchins Mechanical. She
worked part-time with Tim
Graham Construction. She was
an active member of the Oak
Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her hus
band, James Garrett, Comer;
a son, Jason Garrett, Carlton;
daughter, Jean Crane,
Danielsville; stepsister, Jeanette
Glenn, Carlton; and a number
of grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Thursday, January 7, at the Oak
Grove Baptist church with the
Revs. Robert Garrett and James
Creason officiating. Burial was
in the Meadow Baptist Church
Cemetery.

Danny Humphrey
WINDER - Danny
Humphrey, 62, died Wednesday,
January 6, 2010.
Born on September 15, 1947,
in Cumming, he was previously
from Sugar Hill and was the son
of the late Buster and Emma
Humphrey. He was a 1965
graduate of North Gwinnett
High School in Suwanee and
was a veteran of the United
States Army Reserves. He was a
building contractor and worked

He was the owner of D.D.R.
Construction Company in
Winder and was of the Baptist
denomination. Mr. Humphrey
was preceded in death by a
brother, Ronnie Humphrey.

He was preceded in death
by sisters, Sarah Payne and
Imogene Waits.
Survivors include his wife of
50 years, Nonnie Sue Higgins

Sheila Payne, Hoschton; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Margaret
and N.W. Stapler, Cumming,
and Chechee and Thomas

he was the son of Willie Joe
and Betty Stowe Peppers of
Monroe. He was a member of
Phillips Drive Baptist Church.

Samantha Peppers, Bethlehem;
one grandchild, Greyson Robert
Peppers; brother, Timothy
Gene Peppers, Monroe; and a
sister, Sandra Peppers Everett,
Covington.

at a later date. The body will be
cremated.

Center.
Born in Jackson County, he
was the son of the late Wilton
and Annie Lou Thurmond
Sailers. He was a retired archi
tect from The University of
Georgia and a member of
the First Baptist Church of
Commerce.
Survivors include his wife,
Eva Jo Potts Sailers, Commerce;
sons, Erik Sailers, Commerce,
and Ethan Sailers, Carrollton;
two grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

Tuesday, January 12. at Jackson
Memorial Gardens with Brian
Stowe officiating.

Juno Samples
HOMER - Juno Wilford
Samples, 80, died Friday,
January 1, 2010, at Northeast
Georgia Medical Center due to
an extended illness.
He was born September 19,
1929, in Gainesville, to Hansel
Namon and Lillie Grogan
Samples. He worked in the
poultry business with Jesse
Jewell for 25 years and with
Fieldale Farms for 27 years. He
was a member of Mt. Carmel
Baptist Church. He taught
Sunday School for 45 years
at Community Baptist and Mt.
Carmel and was ordained as a
Deacon on June 3, 1950, and
was active on the Deacon boards
at both Community Baptist and
Mt. Carmel Baptist.
Mr. Samples was inducted
into the Poultry Hall of Fame
for Fieldale Farms. He was an
avid hunter and fisherman. He
never met a stranger and loved
life. He always had a positive
attitude and he always saw the
best in himself, his family and
others.
Survivors include his wife of
61 years, Robbie Lee “Bobbie”
Samples, Homer; a daughter,
Sandra Samples Fulghum,
Royston; grandson, Robbie
Fulghum, Royston; step-
granddaughters and husbands,
Michelle and Forest Sanders,
Peachtree City, and Tabitha and
Jason Freeman, Augusta; step-
great-grandchildren, Madison
and Sydney Sanders, Peachtree
City, Bailey and Jackson
Freeman, Augusta; and a host
of relatives that he truly loved.

was a member of the Yonah
Congregational Holiness
Church and was retired from
Global Tech. Mrs. Simmons
was preceded in death by her
husband, Archie Simmons;
grandchildren, Mark Abernathy
and Melissa Mobley; sister,
Grace Davidson; and brothers,
Charlie Bonds, Myles Bonds
and J.B. Bonds.
Survivors include daughters
and sons-in-law, Elaine Sullens,

17 years and was a member
of Alto Baptist Church. Mrs.
Wiley was preceded in death by

law, Evelyn Nix Wright.
