Drew scored 12.
“I was real pleased in how we handled the
ball,” said coach Chad Pittman. “We didn’t
turn the ball over, we played really funda
mentally sound and I felt good about that. We
caused them to turn the ball over several times,
which gave us an advantage, especially early
on to get out to an early lead.”
HART COUNTY
Up next for the Lady Panthers was a trip to
Hart County to face the Lady Bulldogs.
Jackson County had a strong first half and
dealt well with Hart County’s pressure. By the
end of the second quarter, the Lady Panthers

the ball great for the game,” Pittman said. The
Lady Panthers went 17-49 from the field for
the game.
“I thought we could have done a little bit
better with our decision making in the second
half,” he added.

close the lead down to three, but could not
overcome the deficit as the Lady Dragons took
the 64-61 victory.
Erin Knight led Jefferson in scoring with 21
points. Stephanie Fincher had 11 points and
eight rebounds. Bethany Whitlock scored 10
and had five steals.
“I felt like we played pretty well for three
quarters,” Gibson said. “I felt like we had
not shot the ball well at all the first half. We
had gotten some really good looks but missed
some shots inside that I thought we normally
would make and just didn’t make some threes.
Defensively, I thought we had real good pres
sure and caused them to turn it over a lot of
times.”
“East Jackson didn’t quit, they kept fight
ing,” Gibson added. “They deserve a lot of
credit. We were very fortunate after the way
we played in the fourth quarter to come out of
there with a win.”

North Oconee at home Tuesday night. Results
were unavailable at press time.
