SPECIAL PERFORMANCE AT BENTON
Students at Benton Elementary School were treated to a live performance of the
“Night Before Christmas.” Students from Lydia Smith’s first grade class are pictured

MENTORS RECOGNIZED AT KBMS
Mentors for Kings Bridge Middle School are shown being honored at a recent fire
side chat celebration. Kings Bridge is very appreciative of its mentors and wanted
to recognize them for all they do in making a difference in the life of a child. Mentors
were presented with hand made gifts from the students. Anyone interested in

STUDIES LANDFORMS
Lauren Garrard’s first grade class at Jefferson Elementary School recently studied
landforms. They made three-dimensional models of plateaus, valleys, plains and
mountains. They also appeared on the morning announcements to share their learn
ing using posters and pictures.
COINS FOR HAITI
North Jackson Elementary students collected coins for the Haiti earthquake vic
tims. Connie Love and Laura Pityer coordinated the project. The students col
lected $601.65 in just a little over a week. Pictured from left to right: Chloe Robards,

INVENTIONS AT JES
These students and others in Kathy Chandler’s first
grade classroom at Jefferson Elementary School used
their creative imaginations to design an invention.
They appeared on the morning announcements where
they explained their invention and showed pictures
of what they invented. Pictured are: (front) Jackson

JCCHS Tip-Off giveaway

THE JCCHS Panther
Basketball Tip-off Club will
hold their 2010 giveaway and
auction on Saturday, February
6 at 6 p.m. This year’s event
will be held at the Braselton
Police & Municipal Court
Building located at 5040 Hwy.
53 in Braselton. The grand
prize is $5,000 and donors
need not be present to win.
Dress is casual and the event
is for adults only. For a dona
tion of $50 per ticket, donors
will receive dinner and dessert
for two adults. A maximum of
325 tickets will be sold. To
