Woman thrown from car after being assaulted
A HOMER woman said she
was thrown from a moving car
Saturday on Hwy. 441 by men
she had “been clubbing” with
in Athens.
A deputy spotted the woman
walking along the highway
and she reported that the men
had just thrown her out of the
car after hitting her. She had a
bloody nose and lacerations to
her face. She was taken to an
Athens hospital for treatment.

the Jackson County Sheriff’s
Office last week include the

•dispute between an adult
woman and her father at a
Swain Road, Commerce, resi
dence.
•a County Farm Road,
Jefferson, man said someone
attempted to steal his car bat
tery. He added that his dog
barking probably scared off
the burglar.
•a Hog Mountain Road,
Jefferson, man said four
calves are missing from his
property.
•mailbox damaged at a Hwy.
82 Spur, Commerce, location.
•a Lanier Road, Pendergrass,
woman said her ex-boyfriend
came to her home and caused
an altercation.
•a Pendergrass woman
reported that she recently
got out of jail and discovered
that someone fded taxes and
received a refund in her name
for three years.
•counterfeit money passed
to a vendor at a Hwy. 441 flea
market.
•chainsaw, fde and can of
mixed gasoline taken from
the back porch of a Sanford
Drive, Nicholson, residence.
•verbal dispute between
a married couple at an Eric
Way, Bogart, residence.
•someone broke into a
vacant home at a Lebanon
Church Road, Jefferson,
address. Nothing appeared to
have been taken.
•a New Kings Bridge Road,
Athens, man said that he found
a washing machine missing
from his rental home after a
couple moved out.
•physical altercation
between a couple at an Ansley
Lane, Athens, location.
•propane gas tank taken
from a Hwy. 129, Talmo,
church.
•several wall stereo speak
ers were taken from a vacant
home at Traditions Way.
•dispute between a man
and his adult step-son at a
W. Jefferson Street, Hoschton,
residence.
•dispute between a couple at
a Jefferson Street, Hoschton,
address when the man became
upset over the number of dogs
the woman allowed inside the
home.
•Copper wire cut from a
fuse box at a McNeal Road,
Hochton, location.
•financial fraud against a
Chardonnay Trace, Braselton,
resident.
