Bone, 89, formerly of
Jefferson,

29, 2010.
Born in

County,
she was
the daugh
ter of
the late
Elmer H.
and Ruth Webb Elder. She
was a retired seamstress
with Wilkins Industries
and was a member of
Galilee Christian Church.
Mrs. Bone was preceded
in death by her husband,
Homer Bone; a son, Harold
Franklin Bone; and a half
sister, Blanche Elder.
Survivors include a
daughter, Mildred Elrod,
Winder; five grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grand-
child; half sister, Charlotte
Bonmener, Winder; half
brother, Tommy F. Elder,
Auburn; several nieces,
nephews, cousins; and one
sister-in-law.
Funeral services were
held Monday, February 1,
from the Galilee Christian
Church with Minister Tom
Plank officiating. Burial
was in the church cem
etery. Grandsons and great-
grandsons served as pall
bearers.

Church Community, died
Wednesday,
January 27,
2010, at his
residence.
He was born
on September 6, 1920, in
Banks County, the son of the
late Will and Nancy Kelley
Brady. Mr. Brady was pre
ceded in death by his wives,
Mary Sue Bennett Brady
and Marsha Seal's Brady;
a son, Everage Brady;
grandchild and a great
grandchild; brothers, Otha,
Owen and Boyd Brady; and
sisters, Ola Ausburn, Violet
Westbrooks, Mary Hays
and Florine Thompson. He
was a member and deacon
of the Damascus Baptist
Church and was retired as a
supervisor from Robinson
Furniture and Toccoa
Manufacturing with 40
years of service. He was a
veteran of the United States
Army during World War II,
having served his country
bravely and received the
Purple Heart Medal for
Valor.

ter and son-in-law, Edna
and James Palmer, Toccoa;
sons and daughters-in-law,
Marvin and Olivia Brady,
Eastanollee, Kenneth and

in the Damascus Baptist
Church Cemetery with the
Rev. Roy Rogers officiating

Scott Bridges

M. Bridges, 54, died on
Thursday, January 21,2010,
from injuries sustained in
an automobile accident.
He was the son of Dr.
and Mrs. Robert E. Bridges
Sr. of Gainesville. He
was a former co-owner of
the Bridges and Blalock
Construction Company and
was a master craftsman. He
was currently employed by
the Advantage Healthcare
System. Mr. Bridges was
preceded in death by broth
ers, James P. Bridges and
Dr. Robert E. (Ned) Bridges
Jr.
Survivors include his
wife, Kathy; a son, David;
a sister, Kathy Huie,
Calhoun; and brother, Lee,

A celebration of his life
was held on January 31
at the Sanford Community
Center in Hull.

ALTO - Robert C. Cook
Sr., 87, died Monday,
January 25, 2010, at the
Northeast Georgia Medical
Center, following a short
illness.
Born on August 31, 1922,
he was the son of the late
Clarence Neese and Lilly
Christine Butler Cook. He
was a member of the First
Baptist Church
of Cornelia,
a member of
the Currahee
Mountain Good Sams RV
Camping Group, and was a
United States Navy Veteran,
having proudly served his
country during World War
II, receiving the rank of
Chief Petty Officer. He was
a very accomplished wood
worker.
Survivors include his
wife of 65 years, Patricia
Gilmore Cook, Alto;
daughter, Nancy Frazier,
Elizabeth City, N.C.; sons
and daughters-in-law,
Robert C. “Rusty” Cook Jr.
and Mary Cook, Poinciana,
Fla., David and Marcia
Cook, Lula; grandchildren,

Northeast Georgia Medical

Born on June 11, 1935,
in Hall County, he was the
son of the late Claud L.
and Rader Dodd Turner. He
was a retired engineer from
the Georgia Department of
Transportation and attended
the Lula Worship Center.
He was very active in his
community and was former
president and a founding
member of the Lula Area
Betterment Association.
He was an avid gardener
and fisherman, and was a
devoted and loving hus
band, father, grandfather
and great-grandfather. Mr.
Turner was preceded in
death by brothers, Lester
Turner, Clyde Turner and
Benny Turner; and sisters,
Imogene Lewallen, Altheda
Davis and Joyce Burke.
Survivors include his
wife of 55 years, Dorothy
Merle Turner, Lula; daugh
