COMING OFF a strong
start to the season, last week
didn’t turn out quite the way
the Lady Panthers would
have liked it.
The week was supposed
to start with a Tuesday pair
ing against Stephens County,
which was postponed due to
bad weather.
Attention then turned
to Saturday and a trip to
Morgan County to face the
Lady Bulldogs, who entered
the game undefeated.
They left that way as well,
as they downed Jackson
County 1-0.
The Lady Panthers were
next slated to travel to
Oconee County to face the
undefeated Lady Warriors on
Tuesday.
Oconee County remained
undefeated at the end of
the matchup, as the Lady
Warriors shut out Jackson
County 4-0.
Up next is a trip to
Oglethorpe County, where
they’ll face the Lady Patriots
on Thursday.
Start time is scheduled for
5 p.m.

Panthers travel to Oglethorpe Thursday
IT WAS another near miss
last week for the Jackson
County Panthers soccer team,
as they fell to Morgan County.
After a scheduled matchup
with Stephens County was
delayed due to weather, and
rescheduled for March 15, the
Panthers traveled to Morgan
County to face the Bulldogs.
Things went well for Jackson
County in the first half, as
they took a 1-0 lead. Morgan
County came back, however,
and with the game tied late at
2-2, the Bulldogs scored with
two minutes left off a corner
kick to win the game 3-2.
Miguel Guereca and Leo
Yang scored goals for the
Panthers on the game.
The Panthers next traveled
to Oconee County Tuesday.
The result, however, was the
same, as the Panthers lost 3-0.
Up next for the Panthers is
a trip to Oglethorpe County to
face the Patriots on Thursday.
Start time is scheduled for 7
p.m.

the fourth.
West Hall cut into the lead and extended the
