Check smoke alarms during
daylight savings time Sun.
ON SUNDAY morning,
the country will go to day
light savings time and all
clocks will be moved one
hour ahead.
The Jefferson Fire
Department is reminding
everyone that it’s a good
time to replace the battery
in your home’s smoke detec
tor and/or carbon monoxide
detector.
These detectors have an
indicator that reminds us
when to replace the battery,
but it’s always a good idea
to periodically replace the
battery, according to the fire
department.
The devices provide for
your family’s safety, and fire
fighters ask that you check
the operability of each detec
tor in the home to ensure
they are in proper operating
condition.
