SPEAKS AT HOSCHTON
Dr. Emily F. Howell, a Jefferson orthodonist, and her assistant, Anna Walls,
went to Elite Academy in Hoschton to speak to two groups of 3 and 4 year
olds on the importance of brushing and flossing. Dr. Howell dressed up like
the Tooth Fairy. She told a story about a little boy, Billy, being chased by the
cavity monster. The Tooth Fairy saved Billy and explained what are good
foods and what are bad foods for your teeth. The tooth fairy then demon
strated with a huge set of teeth, giant tooth brush, and rope representing
floss how to clean teeth properly each day. Dr. Howell had a wand that she
used to turn three kids into “teeth” for the purpose of demonstrating flossing
(with the rope) in between the teeth (kids) and “hugging” the floss around
each tooth.
